Deserved on balance over the competition, and really good to see so many fringe players get their chance in the spotlight and take it. Brooks won Tournament MVP, Worrall 2nd, James was Best Young Player, Barnes and Hirst shared the top scorer award.
Wonder if Wales will come back and try to prise Brooks from us now? Hopefully we keep hold of him. Good to see all our players claim those award too.
Do we know if Brooks has been brought up to hate the English? Otherwise there shouldn't be a problem.
Ronaldo scores the winning penalty for England. How bloody ironic is that? That was a shocking pen by the Ivorian. Just rolled it to the side Schoefield was at. Pens 3 and 4 by England were quality as the keeper went the right way but still beat him.
Congrats to @DRBrooks15 who has been named as the @TournoiToulon Player of the Tournament. 👏👏👏 pic.twitter.com/2jUsTW5Tzq— Off The Post News (@offthepostnews) June 10, 2017
This is our second straight championship and 10th win in a row at the tournament. That's gotta be close to a record.

There you have it then - "there shouldn't be a problem". He's probably fully assimilated and passes the cricket test with flying colours.
Sheffield United have pulled the plug on David Brooks' loan move to Chesterfield after an impressive Toulon Tournament for England U20's. pic.twitter.com/IzrtIOfA2B— Transferchanger (@TransferChanger) June 24, 2017 Makes you wonder how many other players are loaned out without being properly assessed. Highlights the positives of taking players to tournaments and bringing them into the set up. If not for this he may have entered the Welsh set up. Whereas now we have a potential Championship option to compete for an U21 spot.
Yeah, I would also add that it's alarming how incompetent the Coaching/scouting set up is, if it takes one of their own to play in a Tournament, win it and get into team of the Tournament and they didn't realise how good a player is who is on their books, that's just lazy. I'll bet there is many loaned out without being properly assesssed as it's easier and less work to just buy in a player. I've thought for sometime now that I think there's some rank bad scouting within the English game.
I agree with the general sentiment, but do fear that the likely result is him losing a good loan move and doesn't get the game time in the Championship to make up for it.
