I’m not his biggest fan but would like to see Sessegnon called up with Shaw and Chilwell out.

Although Trippier might end up playing left back if James and TAA are both fit.

I'd rather see Trippier play there to be honest. Sessegnon seems to do a lot of crap stuff every time I watch him. I think Mitchell would probably get called up before him.

I’d very surprised if he next week he drops Mitchell for Sessegnon.

When is the squad announced anyway? A lot of players might not be interested and pull out citing injuries if they finish next Sunday without having been told.

I’ve warmed to him .. not sure he’s a definite starter though

Surely maddison deserves a chance. Another goal and 2 assists today

The Sun are saying Eberechi Eze is in line for a return (If Nigeria don’t call him up first.) They don’t say who will miss out as I can’t see any of the left siders they mention, Foden, Mount and Grealish missing out.

I'm sure Smith Rowe, who isn't playing or Arsenal and Grealish who's had a poor season will get called up ahead of the Leicester boys, possibly Bowen too

Tomori on the verge of being a title winner is surely in the frame. I would also look at bowen maddison barnes.

He’s apparently had a good season in Germany and still only 23 believe it or not, lol. Could be an option for plenty of Prem teams during the Summer who need a new centre half and maybe a dark horse to compete for a squad place in the not to distant future.

There's no way that Athlone hasn't been spamming Oxford's social media with love hearts and Jamaica flags for years now.

Eze is a curious one. I remember Southgate namechecking in a press conference before so it does seem the admiration is genuine. Has he really done enough to warrant a call up though? I'm not so sure. I suppose we're in a much stronger position to tempt him than Nigeria are with no World Cup. Games against Germany and Italy in the Nations League and a shot at as World Cup place must be tempting for any player.

I'd like to see Bowen and Tomori called up as well. Maddison is in contention too I would've thought.

The welsh do it. Going on every footballers twitter page who has a welsh name asking them if they're eligible. If we did it we'd be called out for it

The Irish are the best at it. They give out awards to players that haven't played for them for over a year. Then they wish players happy birthday on their twitter account. It's hilarious.

Then moan about us poaching players (that were born in England) off them. You live by the sword you die by the sword.

I know it old news but it’s still nice to see five English starters at Arsenal.

The irony is, the ones who moan about it are people like Kilbane and breen. Go figure....

Thought Ramsdale was good. Could have been 5 if it wasn't him. Think they've just run out of steam. They've a very small squad and loads of young players.

Ben Chilwell returned to light training today. Will be interesting to see how he gets on next season once he is back playing and if he can get called up in September or for Qatar.

If he’s in light training now then I would imagine he will be fine for Qatar unless he has some set backs. Left back isn’t a position we are blessed in so I’m sure Southgate will look to get him back in the squad asap no problem.
