It’s nothing to do with freezing on the big occasion. Against a packed Défense there’s not much he can do wide left apart from passing it backwards
Phil Foden finished #PSGMCI with a 100% dribble success rate, and 95% pass accuracy. 🤯✨ @PhilFoden // #UCL pic.twitter.com/L2Y0otsgsx— City Xtra (@City_Xtra) April 28, 2021
In pretty much every big game city have had foden has been one of the best players. Dortmund, Liverpool, Chelsea, league cup final
Was a huge game for Stones that. Peope were expecting him to get slaughtered by Mbappe but he kept him quiet enougg along with Dias.
I think playing with Walker also benefits Stones as much as with Dias. He knows Walker has the pace to cover and the ability to tuck in if he moves forward.
Looks like Danny Ings is going to be out for the rest of the season so presumably his Euro place must be in serious doubt! Probably means Greenwood would take his place.
What relapse? Hes had an unfair sending off v villa and a moment against Poland. Hes been impeccable this season
Rashford has been poor tonight. Saka on the other hand has been very lively. I would consider dropping Rashford for foden or grealish at the euros
I'm not just saying it because he scored. But I would seriously consider Greenwood because his finishing ability one on one is deadly

Pity for Barnes, particularly as he'll miss the Cup final but he'd have struggled to make the summer tournament as the depth is especially strong in that position. According to the Mail he thinks a larger squad will be harder to manage. Nah; this aint 10-20 years ago when Ferdinand, Terry, Campbell, Carragher etc were all available. Agree, especially if it is 26 players as that third option behind Kane & DCL probably wouldn't play much anyway, so I'd prefer to take a younger option with the most potential, plus Greenwood can play wide. I'm hoping Southgate won't hold the Iceland misdemeanour and not turning up for the U21 competition against the lad.
Welbeck has always been quality for England and despite all of the injuries still looks like he has something to offer. If there will be expanded squad I'd definitely take him.
The difference is, Vardy has retired from International duty but Welbeck hasn’t. If it wasn’t for injuries, Welbeck would probably still be in the picture. I actually think he’s a good player when fit, his all round game is good and suits England’s system.
Yeah, like everyone i also love to see young players doing well and I am all for giving them chance to progress but some of our older players also have quality and have already shown they can do it at highest level. In terms of link up play, movement, work rate and presence there aren't many like him.
