If it’s the Prem, it’s a goal but in Europe they fanny about with this high foot nonsense when the guy who wins the ball gets penalised when the other guy kicks his foot. Anyway, I was relieved after some sloppy play from Eddy!
Yeah those sort of decisions always get called in the EU for some reason, to be honest it’s one of my pets hates when two players go the the ball in the air and the one that wins the ball gets penalised! It’s absolute nonsense imo.
Owen Hargreaves - 'I think Bellingham will start for Gareth at the Euros. 'His all-around game is so good, he plays like a grown man. He's already a star and he's going to be one of the best in a short time.' Fellow pundit Joleon Lescott added: 'The future is his oyster.' https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...Bellingham-START-Englands-Euros-campaign.html
I could see a Beardsley 1986 situation with the midfield this summer. Southgate starts with Rice and Henderson/Phillips, but after some uninspiring displays goes with Bellingham for the last group match and his performances keep him in the team.
Not so sure Bellingham will even be in the squad, he's clearly behind Phillips and JWP given the last selections. If Dortmund get knocked out this round I don't see him leapfrogging them. Similarly given TAA's awful defending in the most high profile game he'll play before the squad selection, I imagine he's removed any chance of making the squad now.

"He's so mature, he's so good in every phase of the game.""I thought he was one of the best players on the pitch, from both teams."Owen Hargreaves and @JoleonLescott couldn't believe Jude Bellingham's maturity at the age of 17 vs. Man City 🌟 pic.twitter.com/MkzlhfdK50— Football on TNT Sports (@footballontnt) April 6, 2021
A big compliment you can say about Jude tonight, is that he’s impressed a load of City fans to are singing his praises over on our forum! In a few years time hopefully he will be our missing link in our midfield next to Rice and probably Mount being more of a box to box player. Foden was great but left his shooting boots at home until right at the end but still our biggest threat going forward tonight by far.

Dont care what anyone says. Bellingham has to go. Hes producing at a high level in the champions league. Hopefully his performance tonight will have encouraged southgate to take him. His turn and pass to haaland to help set the goal up was quality.
Haven’t seen much of Bellingham but I agree he was good, so was Foden. A midfield 3 of Rice, Mount and Bellingham would be excellent IMO and much better than JWP/Phillips. I’d rather JWP over Phillips purely because of his set pieces but I don’t think he offers much else
https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...de-bellingham-dortmund-man-city-b1827688.html It’s a tournament year and there’s been a young English midfielder playing every week for one of Europe’s top clubs to no great excitement back at home. Maybe that changes now. https://t.co/1vhhGvxm9B— Mark Critchley (@mjcritchley) April 7, 2021
