Just listened to TalkSPORT doing a preview of the Villa game and no mention whatsoever about Grealish being injured. I would find it odd if all of a sudden now he’s announced as not available and the MSM hadn’t picked up on it.

Presuming grealish does play it will be grealish v maddison today. Wonder if southgate will be there.

Grealish not in the squad today. Could be some truth to the rumours?

At least its happened months before the tournament. Plus it gives players like Maddison a chance. Maybe Harvey Barnes

Can't see any information on the reason. Reports that he's definitely out for the next two matches and then they'll reassess.

Given he's going to play every minute for Villa, could be a blessing for England if not serious. Gives him a break.

The only worry is they rush him back like spurs did with kane

Doesn't sound particularly serious if its re-assessed in two games time.

As you say, frankly a break won't be the worst thing in the world. I'm expecting an awful lot of injuries for the Euro's. Just starting to the get the point where players not even particularly serious injuries will be putting them out of the tournament.

Looking like it's not a short layoff for Grealish.

5 weeks is a long time but not overly serious. Though the 'at this stage' sounds ominous

doesn't like Jack Grealish is going to be out for too long based on what Dean Smith has been saying. He's hopeful he'll be back next week.

Some burk on Twitter trying to tell me that Grealish is this mysterious England International that allegedly has the problem with sleeping pills and alcohol!

Jack Grealish liking a drink? Can't take that rumour seriously.

I wouldn't particularly trust Ian Stringer he's not a real journalist.

Barnes with a goal and assist and Maddison another goal

    Dean Smith

'Jack Grealish] has had some discomfort in training this week. At the end of the week we decided he wasn’t right to play.

“We don’t believe it’s a long-term injury, we’re just going to assess him as he goes.

"The injury is on his leg. It isn't a recurring injury.

“I’ve no idea [how long he’ll be out for]. I’m hopeful, I’m always an optimist.”

Well yeah, he likes a drink for sure, lol but there was an article doing the rounds the other day about a current England International who’s been struggling for form ( presumably for a while ) who is addicted to sleeping pills and red wine or something like that and needs help. People just automatically think it’s Grealish but I don’t think one or two quieter games means he’s the guy.

Maddison looks like he took some kind of knock and subbed off! Hopefully it’s nothing but again it’s that time of the season when England fans are most nervous because our players start to drop like flies.

I'm guessing they don't really know at the moment. Probably just need to see how a period of rest does for it.
