Foden on the bench

 

Bamford with an hat-trick sinked villa yesterday! I was already convinced he had to be in NT in October, but now Southgate must absolutely call him!

 

What's everyone's thoughts on antonio? Hes 30 which doesn't exactly give him a long England career. He seems to have a nack of scoring for an attacking midfielder.

Abraham seems destined ( no surprises tbh ) to be a bench player this season. He really needs to think hard about his future at Chelsea if he’s going to continue to be in contention for England especially with the amount of in form strikers we currently have.

 

Awb played well for united tonight. Think it might be time to give him a chance. Also reece james was excellent for Chelsea. I would have these two and trent as my rightbacks. Maybe include walker as a centre back.

 

I’m sure Joe Gomez will get blamed for Liverpool giving away a penalty just now

 

Seeing as southgate names his squad this week. Any surprises? Hopefully he keeps saka in and James. Maybe maddison to return plus grealish. Also Hopefully foden and Greenwood come back in. What about awb

 

I expect one of Foden or Grealish to be left out, just because.

 

Sounds like a Southgate idea ... he could omit them both along with Maddison and Mount then simply draft in Jake Livermore

 

I’d be surprised and livid if they aren’t both in the squad.

Think AMN will be lucky to keep his place. Not starting in the Prem plus is he really a better option at LB/LWB than Saka or Shaw?

Fergie was a big fan of Defoe. There were persistent rumours for a few years that United were looking to sign him but it never happened.

 

If you were to play him down the middle today at utd he'd probably get as many if not more goals than Martial.

Btw I'm not having go at Martial. Hes just not a real center forward.

 

Just watching Burnley’s Dwight McNeil again and I’m certain he’d be great in a top team ..

 

I’ve only dipped into the Burnley v Spurs game but it pains me to admit that Dier seems pretty comfortable at CB and his long passes have impressed. Just then he even broke out quickly from defence with the ball !

 

Shaw should be in the squad ahead of AMN.
