Mount makes so much more sense on the left than the right. He can drop in as an attacking midfielder from there. Rashford on the right though? Not really. Could use a sub.

They’re missing two of their best three players .. and don’t have the replacements like us

 

First half was bad but despite what you say about Southgate he made the right tactical adjustments to shut down Belgium and for us to assert some control in the game. I think he should bring on Grealish now though because we’re getting into that defensive mindset we always do when 1 up.

We created 0 chance. Scored from a miraculous deflected shot and a ridiculous penalty. It’s not deserved at all. Belgium missed several unmissable chances they can only blame themselves. This is a disaster, southgate will draw all the wrong conclusions.

If both teams would have put there chances away it would be 5-5

 

My guess is that the xG for both sides is similar. A draw would be a fair result.

I truly hope Southgate gets slaughtered in the media for days to come .. maybe then he’ll do the right thing and resign

 

Unfortunately this will mean we will see more of this in the future.. even if we win this it hasn’t been a great watch..

Belgium have been the better side to watch and we have not exactly created many chances. I just wish Southgate would play players who can keep the ball, unfortunately if this result holds his team selection won’t be held to account.

 

a bit shameless isn’t it. I have higher expectations for my team.
