Saturday 6th September is our first game against Iceland so the squad should be announced around Thursday 27th August.

What I loved about Greenwood’s goal against Villa was how their defense, particularly Mings falsely assumed Greenwood would shoot to the keepers right since you’d think his right foot is his weaker side. In reality, Greenwood is essentially two-footed and has two powerful feet. He takes what’s he’s given and boom. 2-0. He really is special since he forces defenses to pay close attention to him since he’s dangerous with both feet.

They’re worse than skint and he just isn’t a Mourinho player. He’d be daft to move there anyway with it turning into a Mourinho cesspit of dire football and unhappy players.

I think Pogba staying and Grealish’s bad behaviour in lockdown has ended United’s interest.

They seem the most obvious choice to me

I suppose there is wolves as an heir to moutinho, Everton? Can’t see arsenal going in for him

I would say Spurs are by far the most likely. Not only do they severely lack creativity at the moment, their lack of champions league football really limits their attractiveness to more high profile players.

His central performances really leave an awful lot to be desired too, I don't think he has any future for England there. I suspect his main potential use would be coming on out wide if England want to close out matches given he holds onto the ball well.

Hes the wrong Nationality for Wolves to be interested, plus can’t see Grealish playing for a Black Country rival. I actually think Everton would be my pick for a decent fit playing for Ancelotti.

I think Everton is most likely too but it will be a disappointment from an England point of view. At his age he needs a bigger stage than a club that makes the Europa League once every 5 years.

I’d like United to sign him but he’s done himself no favours with what happened in lockdown and his form since the restart. I get the feeling that Ole is like Southgate and only wants the ‘right’ characters in the dressing room.

Random question but does anyone know whether Rice prefers to play as a LCB or RCB?

I actually think Southgate should be doing everything he can to get Vardy out for retirement

I know people will say we shouldnt be looking back and we have new younger player, but I think he’s too good to leave out. Potential golden boot winner and he would offer us something we don’t have

Vardy is a one dimensional striker that suits Leicester more than England

The teams he's scored against for England makes for quite an impressive list.

    Germany
    Netherlands

    Turkey
    Wales
    Spain
    Lithuania
    Italy

Vardy scores a lot against big teams for Leicester as well. He's good in a counter attacking team and would dovetail nicely with our other pacey forwards.

best in a 2 or running onto through balls

not a lot of skill and may struggle vs deep international defences and slower play

I’ve seen him plenty. He doesn’t work the channels as much as he used to and his hold up play isn’t amazing

he’s a good sub I guess but not a starter

Sterling had his best season so far. 27 goals is incredible for a wide player

And yet there are some that don’t think he’s good enough and he just scores tap ins!

Gary Lineker was one dimensional and it didn't do him any harm.

We have good options in goal now. Pope was outstanding today. Henderson is a top keeper and pickford has never let England down

    football isMy the same anymore

International games are slow and boring in tournaments and we need players who can break down defences and show pace on the counter

Who said he was a starter?

You are just a bitter arsenal fan because he didn't want to join your clowns and then scores all
    the time against you.....
