I think they'd be mad to spend the money on him. He's clearly a capable depth player but they need someone closer to starting quality so they don't need to rinse Yamal as much. They're better off pooling the money towards someone better imo.

Rashford is a good moments player but he's inconsistent and he doesn't do anywhere near enough between those moments to start regularly for a side like Barcelona.

Does he do enough to start for England in your view. He’s the type of player for me that if he starts he need a good performance in the first or second match or his form might struggle all tournament,

At this point, any goal from a corner can be ruled out by VAR. It's what they don't give fouls for that can be frustrating.

That the decision took so long is ridiculous. I watch plenty of Bundesliga and I don't recall seeing a VAR check taking that long. It happens too often

Normally I agree with u horris but I think rashford is more than capable of challenging Raphinha. 30 million is peanuts Nowadays

I think our front 3 overall is lightyears behind France. That's not to say they're not all very good players

I've just seen the Arsenal vs West Ham highlights on MOTD and it looked a foul to me.

Light years is a bit strong. Its clearly better but there isn't a better CF than Kane at the minute. Rashford's in good form and Saka liked quite sharp since coming back from injury.

I agree gaz there isn't many better front 3s but saka is out of form. Kane is clearly world class and Rashford is an excellent player but dembele olise and mbappe are on another level to everyone else. Though as you say kane is so good he can play centreback. (Just kidding)

None of the French players you mention are better than Kane at the minute.Whether they have a better World Cup than him is another thing.

I believe they don’t. Through at least the PL hasn’t had the recalled penalty disaster the Bundesliga had in the early years of VAR.

Everton have been in talks with John Stones over the England defender, 31, returning to the club when he leaves Manchester City this summer. (Football Insider)

My hot take is that Wharton would (with time) make a better number 10 at the elite level than Palmer, Eze or Rogers ever will.

  15. Colwill into 7/4 with Bet365 now. You wonder to what extent Tuchel has made his mind up?

The risk is having him and Stones - hamstring injuries are always more common when returning from ACL and Stones is never far from an injury either. Can he afford both of them?

Please no. We do that with every technical midfielder.

I like Wharton I'm the number 6. He's behind Anderson but there's no better options unless Scott gets an opportunity. I think mainoo would make a better 10

  21. So are we looking at:

    GK

    Pickford, Henderson, Trafford (3)

    FB
    James , O'Reilly

+2 more from: Spence, Livramento, TAA, Hall, Shaw . Is White now out of the equation?

    CB
    Guehi, Konsa

2, probably 3 more from: Stones, Maguire, Burn, Colwill, Quansah, Tomori, Chalobah

    MID
    Anderson, Rice, Henderson
At least 1, potentially 2 more from: Mainoo, Wharton, Garner .

    AM/WIDE
    Bellingham, Rogers, Saka, Gordon, Rashford

Maybe 2, possibly 3 more from: Eze, Palmer, Madueke, Bowen, MGW, Foden

    STR
    Kane

1 more from: Watkins, Solanke, DCL, Welbeck

The last 10 places are so hard.

4 or 5 CBs/CMs will be interesting and decide a lot. Presumably if he's taking Stones, he can't take just the 4 CBs?

Tbh in terms of truly top level players I'd argue our 10 pool is nearly as slim as our 6 pool is.

We had incredible depth at centre back. Not a huge amount elsewhere though.

It feels borderline negligent not to take Shaw in my opinion yet seems highly likely it could happen.
