You can still get away with grappling (seem to be subjective calls) but you just cannot put your hands on the keeper like that. Itโs absurd to grip the keepers arm. I donโt really understand the furore.
Rogers is a fair way from being top class for me. Bellingham is closer to being a top class 10 than the rest of them but it's still not his best role imo.
Yeah think something needs to be done, itโs ridiculous. Just listening to the aftermath on the radio and they are claiming Trossard was actually fouling Pablo before fouling Raya and therefore the foul on Raya probably doesnโt happen. If thatโs the case then itโs either a penalty or the goal stands. When looking at these things, VAR probably needs to be more thorough.
It canโt be more through than 3 mins. Most likely a 60/90 second limit will come in someday. Can they even disallow a goal but also give a penalty? Bowenโs view seems to be it should be fair to touch etc. Might be the end of him and Rice being friends.
Itโs got to a point where it necessitates intervention with similar priority to the back pass all those years ago.
Even many goalkeppers disagree. ๐จ๐๏ธ| Joe Hart on West Hamโs disallowed equalizer vs Arsenal, accuses VAR of saving Arsenalโs title hopes: ๐ฃ๏ธโListen, I donโt care what anyone says, that goal shouldโve stood. VAR has absolutely ruined moments like that. West Ham fought for that equalizer and somehow theyโveโฆ pic.twitter.com/UPFALlnt1y— Vfynn_๐ฅท๐ผ ๐ (@Vfynn_) May 10, 2026
A former Man City keeper. His whole statement reeks of massive bias. I canโt recall of a goal being allowed when the attacker has his arm over both keepers arms and is also holding the keepers shirt with his other hand. I tend to think a lot of this is complaining because people simply donโt want Arsenal to win the league.
It does seem a hugely controversial one. Rob Green supported the decision on Radio 5 live and he is ex West Ham (Which Joe Hart is as well but I donโt think thatโs remembered well by anyone.)
Looking at this again it looks like a completely made up quote. Also seems out of character for Hart.

Arteta on White's injury: "We don't know but it doesn't look good at all. He needs some further testing."— James Olley (@JamesOlley) May 10, 2026
Be interesting to see who actually is the second choice right back in the end. Arguments can be made for Livramento, Spence, Quansah and Trent. With James being a player who you need to always hold your breathe when playing so that he doesnโt get injured whoever it is could get significant playing time.
They'd be mad not to pay the money for rashford. He's got 14 goals and double assists when he's not even starting every game
Hos stats are good really for his first season even though Iโm not his biggest fan granted. Didnโt think the price was that bad really.
