Bale said when he was there they just go through the motions in the league and everything is about the Champions League.

It's obviously overpriced, but I think that's better value than £100m for Rogers. Neither MLS nor Nwaneri are guaranteed to hit the top level but I'd rather risk it on their upside than pay for a player who's much closer to his ceiling and still not top level. Rogers' wages will be huge too.

I'd argue MLS has already had more genuinely impressive performances against the better teams (both Champions League and Prem combined) than Rogers has. At least a similar number anyway.

Arsenal have conducted detailed research on England winger Anthony Gordon's situation at Newcastle and are monitoring the 25-year-old's availability before the summer transfer window. (Teamtalk, external)

Arsenal are so laboured. They're going to choke again

They need to be starting dowman. He's the only player who can make things happen

They’ll need Eze and Dowman. Havertz having a stinker so far.

Not the way they are playing, really bizarre to watch Raya trying to throw the game away
And for some reason decided to go long ball as soon as Dowman came in, he’s hardly touched the ball as yet.

Scott scores. Will he be able to make Tuchel look at him again. Ireland will be desperate to get him to switch if he doesn’t.

Henderson out for a few weeks. Will that push Tuchel to leave him out?

Lewis-Potter starts for Brentford. Shield, Stephenson, Donovan and Owen are on the bench.
Pickford, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Garner, McNeil and Dewsbury-Hall start for Everton. Keane, Dibling, Iroegbunam and Dibling are on the bench.

Humphreys, Ward-Prowse, Edwards and Anthony start for Burnley. Walker, Worrall,
Hinshelwood and Welbeck start for Brighton. Steele and March are on the bench.

It’s pretty bad walking out when it’s only 2-1. Walking out used to be rare even when a team was being thrashed by 3 or more goals now it happens wirh a 1 goal loss or even a draw.

Found it quite remarkable that they bring in Dowman and then after proceed to play pretty much down the left. Might as well have stuck with Noni, quite bizarre tactics to employ.

Find it quite amusing how many Arsenal fans online are trying to blame the loss mainly on Madueke

The finish from Alex Scott is actually brilliant. There's an angle you see in slow motion where he takes the touch, looks at the keeper, looks back at the ball, looks up and shapes to give the keeper the eyes and puts it in the net all within a second or so.

I think we should blood the Wharton's, Scott's and dowman's after the world cup. Get them ready for the euros
