I was surprised he started against Newcastle. I thought it was fairly accepted he couldn't start two games in a week. Injured as soon as Rosenior attempts it.
If James is injured it'll give a lifeline to Trent. Livramento also means we have good cover at rightback.
If its a hamstring injury for Reece James, then thats devastating news. In fact I probably wouldn't take him to the WC even if he's recovered by the end of the season
The Athletic are talking about if Ben White will be recalled. (Alongside Trent, Livramento and Konsa)
Its probably a repeat of the same injury that plagued him before his surgery and then Chelsea purposely slowly managed his return this season. I've said before that England are facing going into this WC with a defensive crisis. Deep pool of players on paper, but too many with fitness issues.
Ben White is the most disappointing English defender from this generation. I thought he was going to become an elite CB when Arsenal signed him, and it never materialised
We should just select a solid and experienced back four from whatever we have available. Even if that means calling up Shaw and Trippier as backup full backs.
Has Reece James actually been ruled out? Have Chelsea said the extent of the injury? The only quotes I see is Rosenior saying he will missing the next game and he will be assessed.
Stones ain’t playing right back, I swear people just make up stupid narratives here for the sake of it.
Defensive crisis? We have 3 left backs, We have 3 rights back and about 6 or 7 centre backs. At the minute the only ones that are injured is James and Colwill.
