Plus Southgate and the FA as whole just are not comfortable cap - ting people before they deserve a place. Musiala didn’t really deserve a call up in March 2021. Olise they seemed little the FA could do.

Olise hasn't played for England at any Level. He must at some point have been asked and said no. Grealish and Rice got asked at the very last minute and said yes.
All these dramatic matches and it’s seems Lee Carsley spent the evening watching his son play for Nuneaton Town - where they won 7-0 to fit in with the dramatic evening..
‘On Eberechi Eze, Glasner is asked to compare him to the Premier League's best players… “Who is better than Eze? For me, he is absolutely top.”’
‘Harry Kane: “I keep all the balls after hat-tricks! The lads might be sick of signing them, but keep them coming”. “My son Louis, he loves playing football right now. I'll take it home and put it next to his bed and he'll be happy when he wakes up in the morning!”.’ Kane on becoming the record English goal scorer in the Champions League, surpassing Wayne Rooney: "Whenever you're in a conversation with Wayne Rooney it means you're doing something well. He's one of the greatest English players and one of the best players there was in the game. It's a nice achievement." [UEFA] ‘Jude Bellingham: “I saw on social media that someone’s trying to create something negative between Mbappé, Rodrygo, Vinicius and me…”. “The only truth is that we are very good friends on and off the pitch”. ‘
‘Jude Bellingham: “I saw on social media that someone’s trying to create something negative between Mbappé, Rodrygo, Vinicius and me…”. Looks like Jude reads Bigsoccer forum @roverman
Cortisol was the drug I was thinking of. It was very overused in the era we were talking about and left many players with long term issues. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2000/jan/30/newsstory.sport3
Not looking great for the fringe English players at Liverpool so far. Slot looks like someone that doesn't rotate much and only TAA is a nailed on starter there. It's a sign of the times that AC Milan used more English players with 2 starting and 1 sub than Liverpool with 1 starting and 1 sub. As a slight aside, Milan's 4th (former) Englishman Musah looks to have become a bench player there. Not a big surprise as he's pretty limited.
Further quotes 'with the increased schedule I fear that we may need to cancel international football' 'I'm retiring from England duty and will be advising Phil Foden to do the same'
That's true, but as the starting XI obviously won't be able to cope with 2 games a week, that will change.
When you consider that Harry Kane has scored 24 career hat tricks, that's one heck of a ball pit for young Louis.
There is a chance this season we see Liverpool starting no English players if Trent is ever rested or unavailable. Bayern also ended with two English players on the pitch as Dier came on while Kane played the full 90.
Real Madrid are targeting Manchester City's Spain midfielder Rodri, Liverpool's 25-year-old England full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and either Arsenal's 23-year-old France defender William Saliba or Tottenham'sArgentina centre-back Cristian Romero, 26. (Independent), external Real Madrid will move for Alexander-Arnold next summer, having been in contact with his agents for several years. (Teamtalk) Newcastle are among a host of Premier League clubs interested in Lille's 24-year-old England midfielder Angel Gomes, who is out of contract at the end of the season. (Football Insider) Everton see England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford as one of their most important players and have no plans to replace the 30-year-old with Newcastle's fellow England international Nick Pope, 32. (Teamtalk) Nine-time England international Andy Carroll is reportedly set to join a fourth-tier French club from Ligue 2 side Amiens. (Daily Mail) Chelsea's Jadon Sancho is earning stripes off the pitch as he has reportedly turned up to training ahead of time while catching the eye of Enzo Maresca with his dedication. (Daily Star)
Kane is sensational and shows no sign of slowing down. Was clearly injured in the Euros and will continue to be first choice striker for us with Watkins and Solanke fighting it out to be his backup.
Curtis Jones struggled off the bench against Nottingham Forest. Tough situation for him. Scrambling for match fitness with limited game time.
I think there's definitely an element of physical decline going on. He obviously shouldn't be dropped from the squad but I think we need to get more used to utilising other options for when we need them because there are games now against better sides where he's quite ineffective. It's the same for Bayern, not just England.
Maybe it’s me being a bit of a Scrooge but is everyone getting a bit carried away with Kane from last night. Ok, he scored 4 goals and pens aren’t easy but he was handed 3 of them which he normally scores from. I would have been more impressed if he’d scored four from open play to suggest he’s back to his best. Granted, I didn’t see the game so maybe he was looking great idk.
