Having seen him play for Burnley I'm not surprised. He doesn't run anymore which is what he was known for.
With the back up’s being Trent, Spence, Konsa and Quansah (Tuchel doesn’t mind playing centre back there).
Tough on Walker, I bet a few ago he thought he'd get to 100 caps, but undoubtedly one of England best ever right backs.
He cost us a place in the world cup final when he lost perisic in extra time but he's saved us plenty of times. He always had mbappe in his back pocket
I've no interest in watching Liverpool. The most un-english club of the lot. Newcastle v Barcelona is a game I'll be watching
Undoubtedly England's greatest RB My best ever back four on performences for England would be; Walker---Stones---B. Moore---A. Cole Terry and Campbell would be up there too..
Speaking of defenders. If Tuchel ends up selecting all three of Reece James, Stones and Shaw in the summer. He then needs to bring at least nine defenders in his final squad
Walker was a great-servant, but was there really need for him to retire? 35, soon to be a championship player, well out of contention nowadays.
Ramsdale, Trippier, Burn, Hall, Ramsey and Barnes starting for Newcastle. Pope, Ruddy, Harris, Livramento, Willock, Gordon, Murphy and Neave are on the bench. Rashford on the bench for Barcelona, Kane on the bench for Bayern. Gray and Soende start for Spurs. Austin, Rowswell, Gallagher, Olusesi and Solanke are on the bench.
He likely still held out the hope he could make the squad for the WC. Or at least did think that last year. Not completely delusional considering Henderson still has a good chance of going. Now it looks like Tuchel has told him he’s not going.
Is Gordon injured? Find it slightly curious that he’s not starting for Newcastle in a game like this tonight.
