Played Spain and a Croatia in the first addition from memory, yeah it does get a bit tiresome playing the same opponents.
Genuinely fuming at this group. So many potentially interesting matchups and this is what we get served up.
Just looking at the groups, you've got France, Italy & Belgium in the same group (exactly the same as last time), while Germany and the Netherlands are sharing a group, also exactly the same as last time. That draw could not have been any more mind-numbing.
Henderson back to the bench for Brentford tonight. Lewis-Potter starting. Rice, Madueke and Eze starting for Arsenal with Saka, Lewis-Skelly and White on the bench.
Perfect day. Tuchel commits to a new contract. England get a dooable group and Barnes rejects Scotland
Still, Spain will be a good test and at least we will have some competitive games and a good chance of getting to the finals in 2027, which will be good prep for Euro 2028, much better than being in league B
Jude Bellingham is a doubt for England's March friendlies amid fears from Real Madrid his hamstring injury is worse than first thought. (...and now Fireburn:.. )
You know he’s now going to start saying Bellingham is a doubt for the World Cup, and Tuchel may not want to pick players who haven’t played in March.
Let’s see how many of the Man United players do return. I can’t see all 3 but surely at least one will.
I’m going to say is it will secure Rogers as starting against Croatia And might help Mainoo get back in.
Will Arsenal or Man City have equal numbers in the squad? Man City have Guehi, Stones and O’Reilly with Foden and Trafford as possibilities while Arsenal have Rice and Saka with Madueke, Eze and Lewis-Skelly as possibilities, Man City will win the league. Can we add Arsenal as a team that might have been after Tuchel this summer had he not extended?
I'm reading comments like "The Netherlands is lucky with an 'easy' Nations League draw". Looking at the FIFA ranking, the Dutch national team is lucky with the Nations League draw. The Dutch team was paired with Germany, Serbia and Greece on Thursday evening. Well, I don't think in the NL you can deem any group a lucky draw. They only differ in level of difficulty by the standards of these 16 nations. I guess one can expect the Orange Squad to battle with Germany for the top two spots, but I wouldnot think it's a given the matches against Serbia and Greece will be wins. When you look at the groups, it becomes obvious why the UEFA in every worldcup tournement dominates the last 8. They simply are battle hardened against top teams when the WC is being played.
