I'm sure there fans are buzzing, bottom of the table and they start new star English signing Adam Armstrong, with a stellar 6 goals in 88 PL appearances!

No the lad simply has to go to the world cup. Other mids aren't having stellar seasons as well.

Not sure I would commit to saying he’s back as it’s against Wolves with respect but will do his confidence the world of good.

Anderson is having a fantastic season which will get him a big move in the summer.

I’d take Mainoo over Wharton though, Wharton is untested at international level whilst Mainoo has played in a major final. That experience is no small thing when comparing the two players. Providing Mainoo maintains his form of course.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fanbase gaslight the wider footballing world more about a player than Spurs fans with Romero.

Even when he has disastrous displays like today, they either pin it on their board, or just hark back to other games where they claim he did play well and that they’d be in the bottom three if it wasn’t for him.

Saw a Spurs fan argue that he’s better than Maguire yesterday and put him in a combined 11 ahead of him. If it wasn’t for Argentina’s rigged World Cup win, he’d be seen as a glorified Eric Bailly.

On the midfield discourse, Garner is playing better than both Wharton and Mainoo this season but he doesn’t have the shiny new toy or playing for big club dynamic in his favour. He’s just not very fashionable.

Yeah, totally agree and really undeservingly going under the radar when he really should be in for a shout, good off the ball, good on the ball. Criminally underrated imo.

It’s another nail in the coffin for Foden’s chances of going.

We don’t know what Tuchel wants from his squad CM options. He could go in many directions. This is the big unknown of the squad as far as I’m concerned.

Henderson, RLC and Curtis Jones are really the only options Tuchel’s used off the bench in his games. None of these have impressed albeit some barely had much time at all. Tuchel’s changes in midfield have sometimes looked very messy and ruined the balance of the team.

Starters Rice and Anderson have also came off the bench in the lesser games. Also a very brief cameo for Wharton and I think MGW playing an 8 role once.

We are going to need a rotation of options considering the schedule. The big question is what exactly does he want and who is best suited to do the job.

Yeah, l'd maybe wait another 5 months before continuing with these ridiculous knee jerk statements. As Cole Palmer's hat-trick today shows, world class players can rediscover their form in an instant. Writing them off in February is just plain daft.

I think there's a chance at least 2 out of Shaw, Maguire and Mainoo get in the WC squad.

Barcelona have decided to make 28-year-old England forward Marcus Rashford's loan move from Manchester United permanent. (Fichajes - in Spanish)

Newcastle are also looking at Lyon's 23-year-old English midfielder Tyler Morton as a possible replacement for Sandro Tonali, while Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest are also interested in the former Liverpool player. (Caughtoffside)

Why don't English clubs allow English players to stay abroad ffs!!!!!. The Premier league is the worst thing that has happened to the England national team. We used to have players playing abroad and alot of them stayed there. Nowadays because of the money in the epl, English clubs can afford to bring them back. I think it's important for English players to learn new cultures in football
