Unfortunately I don’t think Tuchel will turn to Barnes. Rashford will start and then there is the likes of Bowen, Madueke, Gibbs-White and others who could play there.
I know, was said in jest. Would just be amusing to see the Scots in meltdown mode after hanging all there hopes on him being their saviour and get them out of the group stage.
Yeah but he's not that good, I'd play Rashford and Gordon ahead of him, and Eze, Rogers who also have decent experience there.
Anyway looking online a lot of people are quite happy if Gordon is not involved. He seems very polarising
both Jude and Gordon down with hamstrings. brutal. the grade of tear will matter in terms of weeks out, but time is not on their side. won't be the last injury, will it?

Phil Foden was disappointing again last night. He had one or two nice moments but the game was open as hell (should've suited him perfectly) and he still couldn't stamp his authority on it. He seems to have reverted back to last season's form now. He had a period of being very good earlier in the season but he's been well below par for a while now. Needs to get his act together.
If tuchel has any common sense he'd tell Barnes to hang on with the promise that he's in his thoughts. I just don't want them smelly bellends getting their grimy hands on him
I think the general consensus among Newcastle fans is that Barnes has outperformed Gordon throughout the season. For me Gordon is only ahead of him for England because Tuchel wants directness and pace in that position.
Foden has played himself out of the World Cup. But I suspect his many fans in the media will not accept that easily.

Justin, Bogle and Calvert-Lewin started for Leeds. Longstaff was used from the bench. Abbott, Anderson. Gibbs-White and Hudson-Odoi started for Nottingham Forest. Hutchinson and Yates were used from the bench. McAtee was unused. Bogle and Calvert-Lewin scored. Justin and Hutchinson got assists.
Jayden Bogle is really, really good. Been a standout since he signed for Leeds and he keeps getting better. So much quality on the ball. If he keeps improving defensively he could get himself into the mix in the coming seasons.
spicy. at the time of posting, immediately after, the club tone was quite different. don't shoot the messenger...
Manchester City are lining up Nottingham Forest’s and England midfielder Elliot Anderson, 23, Brentford’s Italy Under-21 right-back Michael Kayode, 21, and Feyenoord and Netherlands Under-21 right-back Givairo Read, 19, amid confidence that manager Pep Guardiola will stay at the club for another year.
