Jude Bellingham will not be involved this weekend for Real Madrid but it looks like Phil Foden will be involved for Man City.

As long as TAA is at RB I quite like Colwill at LB. TAA has license to roam and when he does we effectively go into a back 3 and I think Colwill gives you the best fit in that LB/LCB combination even though Shaw may be the best out and out LB.

Levi colwill's passing on Tuesday was what we missed at the euros. He fed the ball into midfield perfectly every time.

Enzo Maresca: “Reece James is not ready and he needs more time”.

Maresca open doors to Ben Chilwell return: “We will sit with him and find solution. He is probably going to be back with us, we will see”.

“At the moment, he is not training with us. The reason why he was training apart, is because the idea was for him to leave”.

Asked Enzo Maresca today if Ben Chilwell is in Chelsea’s 25-man Premier League squad and he replied: “Yes.”

‘Ben Chilwell is set to start training with the Chelsea first team again

The England left-back failed to get a move away from the club before the transfer deadline.’

Unai Emery confirms Ollie Watkins will be included on Saturday. 'He is progressively getting better. And being in the squad, thinking tomorrow he’ll be available to play.'

Former England and Arsenal defender Sol Campbell says Lee Carsley and the FA should sort out the Ben White situation at
    @TF_Summit
: "One of the things I am interested in and thinking about is when I look at Ben White – how do you integrate him back into the fold? "He is one of the best right backs around and it should be about how do you integrate him, how do you bridge the gap with the fans and patch that up. "It’s like what are you doing? He is one of the best guys in that position. Yes, they may already be winning but White is playing top football. "Deep down, he must want to play for England but obviously something happened before but if you allow things to drag on from the old management to the new management – then that’s not the best way to do it. "Just draw a line under it, be a man because he is a top player and you want the best players to play for England."

Does he really want to play for England? I would say he doesn’t to be honest or if he does then he’s going about it in a mysterious way. I mean if it was the Southgate/Holland staff that he had issues with then why not pick up the phone to Carsley and say he’s available again. If he doesn’t want to play for whatever reason then that’s up to him and equally if he wants to again then he should tell Carsley he’s back up for selection if required.

It's all well and good saying the manager should "sort it out", but White himself has to actually show an interesting in playing for England.

It's becoming an extremely monotonous subject that the media need to shut up about. Carsley pretty much said in his own words than White doesn't fancy it and that's that. Just move on.

Angel Gomes was used from the bench tonight for Lille - he came on in the 57th minute.

If White was an actual difference maker it might be worth bending over backwards to get him back, but the reality is he would be a back up player and I'm sure that's a large part of why he retired in the first place. I get the feeling the Holland thing was a convenient excuse for him to go home from a tournament he probably wasn't enjoying, given how minor it seems to have been.

We've got better younger centrebacks coming through and better right backs. He's no great loss

‘Maresca: “I don't consider Jadon Sancho a risk off the pitch. Whatever's happened with Erik ten Hag… I have no idea”.
“I can only judge the player on the weeks he's been with us. He's been perfect”, told @PaSport.’

It is odd how the narrative has altered around Ben White. Seems like it has turned into a case of ‘he doesn’t care about football enough. It is just a job and international football doesn’t really interest him.’

It did feel like Ben White really liked playing for England at the start. He was mentioning how proud he was to represent England and how him and his family were in tears when he got called up. Then he claimed he loved every minute of his first meet up.

Being one of the few to never get a youth cap at all he might not have been used to the added schedule around international football. Add on the fact he has rarely had much opportunity to play (and very likely still wouldn’t if he did come back).

Regardless it is kind of a sad situation. It does feel like if he was a first team starter there would have been no issues.

    Probably-
(Through he didn’t actually go home - he went to a tropical island and then turned up at Arsenal’s Dubai camp the morning after we were eliminated)

Yeah but this is all just generic stuff that they're all trained to say. It's not like he was ever gonna come out and say "yeah not sure if I'll like it, I'll give it a go I suppose".

Carsley seems like a very no nonsense person. I think he'll disregard White whatever the case.

Tottenham Hotspur's pursuit of Crystal Palace and England winger Eberechi Eze, 26, seems to have taken a hit, with the player's head turned by a top-four Premier League club, believed to be Arsenal or Manchester City.(FootballTransfers)

The now former Danish NT coach Hjulmand quit after the disappointing results in Euro-24, and with the new temporary manager Lars Knudsen + Daniel Agger as his assistant, Denmark have not looked this good since they beat France home and away in the Nations League back in 2022, and now even without the likes of Andreas Christensen, Mæhle, Højlund and Matt O'Riley all out with injuries. The new big "relevations" for Denmark are Albert Grønbæk, really adding some attacking power, and only 19-yo Patrick Dorgu.

His quotes were quite long and didn’t feel generic. This was before he went ‘away’ with England too and experienced a tournament on the bench.

I wish he was at City. I fear that United’s dysfunctional midfield will stunt his development a bit.
