You can't draw any conclusions from a player's first start in a team where there were multiple changes.
Unrelated to his injuries but I still think he made the wrong move signing for Chelsea. He's not that level yet and it's going to be harder for him to develop to that level while being at a club where the expectation is that you hit those levels pretty quickly.
Argue all you want about everything else. This is nailed on from Salah. Extends further too. Palmer v SakaEven Foden v Bellingham https://t.co/nNHhePl8xk— Nubaid Haroon (@RamboFYI) December 7, 2025 Imagine living your life in this mode constantly, these people have become utterly insufferable recently, making every thing about race and colour. Ironically, think they’ve sabotaged their cause and overplayed their hand now, many people are fed up with this. Of course some cases, like the Sterling attacks on his personal life from the press were racist or at the very least had racial undertones, but there’s not always a bigger picture or ulterior motive. Quite simply “Nubaid” Salah is a piece of work, Kane isn’t. He didn’t get on with Mane, he fell out with Klopp, he’s now fallen out with Slot, and he has consistently aired his personal matters to the press and public in an unprofessional manner which Kane never has. Hence the difference in media treatment they get, hope this helps. Oh, and he’s also overrated. Great goalscoring numbers in the league, but goes missing in major finals, barely scores in open play in big games, and gets completely pocketed by decent fullbacks like Mendes last season for example.
🚨🗣️ 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Pep Guardiola: "John Stones is injured. To be honest, I don't know how long he will be out for." pic.twitter.com/cUv7DHWstN— The Touchline | 𝐓 (@TouchlineX) December 7, 2025 Stones injured again. He’s barely played recently! I wonder if that person realises Palmer is mixed race himself. (Through does Saka really get much media criticism - fans of other clubs give him stick for limping but you do notreally see that on the media.)
Yes I think you'd have to play him in 6 or 7 games straight to get the best out of him and the players around him. I think Anderson 's the better bet at the moment because hes a bit more rounded as a player.
I’m going to assume the guy with the tweet is a Liverpool fan, and probably has an affinity with Salah for more than a few obvious reasons. Salah is 33 and showing quite obvious signs of decline, I really haven’t seen that much criticism of him until very recently, but I don’t follow Liverpool media very much. The comparison of Saka and Palmer is weird, I never really seen either particular criticised by the media (which I assume is his point because they all been hammered by fans at various stages)
I said after Euro 2024 that we need to pursue a new first choice CB partnership that doesn't involve John Stones. Fine with him being in every squad when he's fit but you just can't rely on him like that. We're fortunate that Guehi and Konsa seem to have a very natural partnership, but ideally we'd have spent the last few months honing that rather than giving Stones so many starts.
People live in ther own little bubble. Salah's won the PL player of season twice and Kane never has. The year Kane got most goals and assists in the same season Rúben ********ing Dias won it.
When Ferguson retired from Man Utd, he personally handpicked Moyes as his successor (a British coach) and there was still a strong British core of players in the dressing room. I vividly remember how many foreign fans on their forum attributed United’s collapse in the 1st post-Ferguson season (right after winning the league) to race and nationality. Large numbers of posters (mainly from Africa and the Middle East) kept making comments, that the club hiring a British manager and having so many British players in the team was the reason for the club’s collapse. Since Moyes left, United have moved steadily in the other direction. Many of the traditions Ferguson maintained have been gradually eroded, and the decline has only deepened. It reached the point where Amorim nearly saw them relegated last season and has the lowest win percentage of any Manager in modern history. Significantly worse than Ten Haag, Moyes, or Solskjaer. This is why, during Liverpool’s recent collapse, I was actually about to comment on here. This is one of the very rare occasions, how relieved I was, that Liverpool have practically no English players in their team. Because I thought it left no room for a repeat of the race/nationality blame game that happened with United. And was also convinced it removed the opportunity for people to accuse the media of having any double standards and going easier on the British players compared to certain other individuals etc. Although it looks like I was wrong and Salah still managed to to dig out a way to drag that narrative in to it..
England and Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton, 21, plans to play Champions League football at his next club, and currently tops Manchester United's transfer shortlist. (Mirror) Jude Bellingham was left with a nasty cut to his eye during Real Madrid's defeat by Celta Vigo in La Liga - The Sun.
Just to go back to Marc Guehi - he has 2 goals and 4 assists this season. The joint most goal involvements for any defender, along side his team mate Daniel Munoz.
https://www.skysports.com/football/...ase-plans-and-may-venue-hop-around-tournament England are set to rethink their plans for a base location for the 2026 World Cup; the FA is considering venue-hopping throughout the tournament Sky Sports News was told that the FA's preference, before the draw, was to have one single base camp in the centre of North America - probably in Kansas - so as to minimise flight times for any group or knockout game. However, that plan has now changed - partly because it's thought England could well miss out on their first-choice venue because they would be behind a number of other nations when the training bases are allocated. As a result, it's thought England will consider having a base on the US east coast for the group games and then travelling from match to match for the knockout stages, should they get there. This is FIFA's preferred option, and might be the English FA's only option, because of the tight turnaround between matches in Group L.
There is 1 English starter for Wolves (Johnstone) + 1 on the bench There are 3 English starters for Manchester United (Heaven, Shaw and Mount) + 2 on the bench. 🚨🛑 Cole Palmer, out of Chelsea squad to face Atalanta on Tuesday.“It’s a way to protect Cole after his injury. He can’t play three games in one week”, says Enzo Maresca. pic.twitter.com/GcOPYB8Hld— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) December 8, 2025 I just can’t shake this feeling Palmer is heading towards being the big ommision from the World Cup.
Villa being 3rd has really upset all the stats zombies lol, Even seen today that one says they need to turn there "form" around. They've won there last 8 games.
I think we should take Maguire personally. He could fill the leadership role that Henderson fills while also being more capable of meaningfully contributing on the pitch than both Henderson and Burn. Not that I think that will happen, but one can hope.
