The fact that whoever wrote that article thinks that Quansah is now a right-back and that's where Tuchel sees him is enough to disregard their opinion on anything.
It was his selection of Hinshelwood over Livramento, Hall, Lewis-Skelly and Spence at left-back that had me a little dubious.
I men It would probably be more newsworthy if they weren't shit-wtirring, tbh. I've said I don't think he had a particularly good game this time, and I stick by it, but the idea that he's especially disruptive is pure fantasy. He looked out of sorts to me simply because the way he played and I said that during the game but that's it. It was based purely on what I was seeing on the pitch... nothing else.
Bloody hell I didn't even see that. Hinshelwood is out injured long-term and hasn't played since September
I'm convinced they're just rage baiting for clicks at this point. I remember reading that Lynton Crosby encouraged MPs that wanted to increase their profile to put out social media posts with bad English and other obvious errors. Andrea Jenkins did this when she was relatively unknown and loads of people on the left started retweeting her with teachers marking the bad English etc. A few years later she was made a Dame. It's the world we now live in.
Agreed, I also didn’t think he played particularly well either to be honest, I remember at one point during the first half my mate and myself were discussing how often he seemed to lose the ball or had a bad touch ( he wasn’t alone to be fair ). I think he did have some good moments but not so often for him but nothing to worry about or get concerned. It’s quite amazing how many on social media seem to make their minds up about Bellingham full stop based on a game against Albania, it’s quite bizarre.
It was written by Mike McGrath The full paragraph on Right backs. ‘ Tuchel had a look at Jarell Quansah in Tirana but his first choice is clearly Reece James, whom he worked with at Chelsea and has overtaken all rivals for the right-back slot. Trent Alexander-Arnold cannot get in the squad, while Kyle Walker is stuck on 96 caps. Rico Lewis has dropped into the under-21s.’ The full paragraph on left backs ‘Not blessed with an outstanding option, with Manchester City’s Nico O’Reilly tried over the last two games. Tino Livramento will have a great chance to claim a place as a starter when he returns from his knee injury. Myles Lewis-Skelly is not playing regularly for Arsenal, while Tuchel took a dim view of Djed Spence’s recent clash with Spurs manager Thomas Frank. Jack Hinshelwood from the under-21s is on the radar.’
The whole Spence thing is also getting blown out of proportion, Spence and Van Der Ven were pissed at the end of the Chelsea match, but apparently both separately apologised to Frank the following day, no Spurs fans gave a shit! If Tuchel genuinely is holding it against him he wouldn't have called him up!
I've said it before on here - Bellingham isn't the type of player who's going to typically dominate a game. He's going to come up with some brilliant moments in a game (look at the pass to Eze and some of his flicks in and around the box), or score key goals. He's more of a Zidane than a Maradona in that he boosts a team rather than dominates it, and as such his weaker games will be obvious.

CRAIG HOPE: Why Thomas Tuchel should leave divisive soloist Jude Bellingham out of his World Cup squad - it doesn't matter how good a player he is, this is why his ridiculous antics threaten England's shot at glory https://t.co/UBZL606PS5— Daily Mail Sport (@MailSport) November 17, 2025 Mail are going to be writing variations of this article every few weeks until June
They will be a new round of them every time he gets a yellow card in La Liga. I dread to think how they will react if he ever gets another red. 🚨 Ex players blaming media for fallout from Jude Bellingham’s petulance is like blaming the mirror for the haircut🪞 The truth is Bellingham needs to look at himself⬇️ This is why I think England have a better chance WITHOUT him at the World Cup…https://t.co/E8Ym8dytgZ— Craig Hope (@CraigHope_DM) November 17, 2025 He is digging in and going to make it all about himself.
I suspect they will be bit among fans. Plenty of comments in various papers and website sections that are critical of Jude - the Highest rated comment aon the BBC’s article about Jude are anti ones.
This bellingham stuff is bullcrap are we still going on about it today? That was coldly a nothing game and a nice 3pts, nothing more... and Bellingham is this much news?
I've just given hope a peice of my mind. He's an absolute twot. Journalists like him are going to destroy the morale of the England team and be a detriment to our chances next year
Tuchel has said he really rates Quansah as a right back. Also seems to have suggested Hinshelwood is a player in his radar. I've changed my mind about :Tuchel a little bit. I didn't like the way he treated CHO at Chelsea and that sort of coloured my opinion of him. But he does seem to get on with the players. Hopefully that contiunes and Bellingham takes whats said the press with a pitch of salt.
Article in the Times think Tuchel will go for two players for every outfield position plus three floaters. One line makes me think it might be Walker who is the player he doesn’t want to pick anymore. Does seem like Quansah could end up starting at Right back if James was injured..Article thinks Spence has fallen out of favour with Tuchel and probably won’t go to the World Cup. Article also thinks Stones and Lonsa are N.1 centre back pairing. And if Burn is dropped Chalobah will go instead. And the article says Loftus-Cheek might to go the World Cup and is challenging Wharton. Jones and Alex Scott for one final spot. And it says Delap’s junior record is a sign he won’t be an elite player. Article thinks Foden, Eze. Bowen, Gibbs-White and Palmer are challenging to be the floaters.
So in other words…….they haven’t a clue as per usual! Just standard guess work especially if they think RLC will go.
