I’m not sure they’ll even qualify tbh.

Ireland can beat them. norn Ireland could beat them.

    Wales probably beat them.

I wouldn't mind getting them in an easy group with 2 going through and then you wouldn't face them again until the final.

Finished 4-1 to Norway. Can you imagine Italy not getting to their 3rd world cup in a row and inbetween having the longest unbeaten run in international football.lol

1990 qualification - 3 wins and 3 0-0 draws. Albania were also in our group then.

We've only conceded 6 goals in the last three World Cup qualification campaigns.
    Haven't lost a match since 2009, when we'd already qualified - 1-0 in Ukraine.
Last home loss was 2000 - final match at the old Wembley to Germany.

We haven't lost a qualifying match by more than one goal since 1993.

Will all be a mute point when you hear the journos and pundits on your radio in the morning just stating how poor our opponents are :ninja:

Yugoslavia won all of their games 1-0.
The qualifying back then was a joke. The Home Nations Championship was used for the British teams, while West Germany got Saarland and Norway. Italy played just Egypt. Yugoslavia had Greece and Israel.
Some groups had 2 teams, others 3, and the Home Nations 4.

Even the BBC are getting involved in the Bellingham circus with notifications about what Tuchel has said,

We barely ever get hammered in meaningful games. Last time I think it was the 4-1 against Germany at the world cup and that should have been at least 4-2. Thats unless you call that 4-0 Hungary game meaningful.

Not even really 4-2 to be honest, that Lampard goal would have made it 2-2 if my memory serves me correctly which would have changed things significantly and meant we weren’t chasing the game and having Gareth ‘ lead boots ‘ Barry being badly exposed by Ozil on a counter attack.

Still think Scotland can automatically qualify tbh.

Yeah, they've got a good shot. Denmark are a decent side, but so are Scotland. There's also talk of a bout of illness running through their squad.

Obviously they were very good in that Euro 2020 tournament. Kind of a fluke two years with a great CB pairing, good midfield, but it still pains me to this day that we didn't win that one. They are a very poor side now, wouldn't surprise me if they choke in the playoffs

We just need to consider the Mail as a trolling rag at the moment. They're just after clicks for their advertising.

Right now, I’ll be controversial, but I’ve already been called out today and I don’t care so ******** it:

    Starting XI:
    1. Pickford
    2. James
    3. Livramento
    4. Guehi
    5. Konsa
    6. Anderson
    7. Rice
    8. Rogers
    9. Gordon
    10. Kane
    11. Saka

    Bomb Squad:
    12. Henderson
    13. Spence
    14. O’Reilly
    15. Stones
    16. Maguire
    17. Henderson (I want Scott but unlikely)
    18. Foden
    19. Wharton
    20. Bellingham
    21. Madueke
    22. Rashford
    23. Welbeck/Delap (a hold up 9)

    3 spares:
    24. Chalobah
    25. Scott
    26. Palmer

As it stands. I’m sure there’s some disagreement but it gives us a chance to really go hard late in games if it either doesn’t go our way, or it’s hot.

Btw quietly I think Foden has looked a little more like his old self and more comfortable in an England jersey.

They were massively overblown in that euros. Spain were worthy winners last year because they were lightyears better than everyone else but that Italy side was no great shakes. They were well coached. Southgate blew it with his negative tactics

Yes I've said that in couple places online (not on here) and got hammered for it. They played on the counter all second half. Not saying we would have won but that was a disgrace that goal was disowned. Worse than the hand of goal imho.
