What even is this Bellingham thing? From what I can see one journalist made a tweet and fans seem to be slagging him off for making something out of very little. Have I missed something?
The press in this country are a disgrace. I'll never forget the time they did a sting operation on our 2018 world cup bid.
Stitched up Sven about 5 times. But to be fair he was shagging any woman within a 5 mile radius of the England headquarters..
He summed up that whole era for the team. Kyle Walker gets enough headlines but 20 years his private life would have been even more intensively covered. I was rewatching the Queen’s 80 birthday children party which was held during the early days of the 2096 World Cup and they were characters named after players and their wags (And yes the Beckham and Coles were both famous in their own rights but some of the others named were not)
That 2006 world cup kept the newspapers in stories for years afterwards. The start of the wag culture.
Tried to find the clip but sky sports have deleted it probably due to the backlash directed at the journalist. He basically tried to say that Bellingham didn’t celebrate a goal and that when substituted he was sulking etc. Just trying to create something out of nothing of which fortunately most people saw right through it. edit: found the clip 1990164123330736439 is not a valid tweet id

Papers whipping up a frenzy because they are bored. Still maintain the best way to utilise Bellingham is as a bench option tho. Try maybe Foden or Rogers as the 10 for 65 mins and Bellinghams energy and power to finish the game could be effective and I will stand by that. Finishing strong in a sporting match matters a great deal. You can control the events at the end of the game far better in that scenario. I don’t think Rogers makes a good bench option but is a good starting option for example.
Winter is maybe one of the better ones, but that's still not saying much imo. Always been keen on championing his favourites. Remember was a massive advocate for the dumb Trent in midfield experiment. Best of a bad bunch. But yeh, for me it's no coincidence that 2018 resurgence and world cup run came at a time when media hype and pressure was at its lowest for years after the Iceland debacle. Believe the media have been the biggest obstacle to success in my lifetime.

Winter isn’t a click bait merchant and follows the youth team more than most, but for a man who’s been writing about and watching football for a living for 40+ years he’s generally absolutely clueless.
Norway are a genuine threat but Italy are so poor. Watched the whole game. They have no creativity and they're bad at the back
