Disappointed not to see Scott on the pitch. We'll likely not rotate our squad too much at the world cup so with our first team we should go far
I do wonder if his comments about telling Spence off for how he behaved at Spurs affected him this weekend even if he said it didn’t.
Some ridiculously kneejerk reactions here, the funniest is Bellingham as an impact sub. Perhaps posting should be banned during games.
Bellingham making all the headlines again. Some papers fuming he sulked as he was subbed while some see praising him.
Anyway: experienting is always useful, and hopefully Tuchel now knows that this 3-2-2-3 formation with Stones in midfield should be forgotten. Still a good win, anyone who really thought England would play today like they did in Belgrade must have been deluded.
🗣️ "I love the players. It hurts me to not see them until March, I almost got emotional" Thomas Tuchel post-match comments on his England players... 🤍(@SkySportsNews)pic.twitter.com/1m0lrmmxBv— The England Pod (@England_Pod) November 16, 2025
The press have decided that Bellingham's "sulking" is the big story that will dominate the back pages tomorrow
Is it because he wasn’t smiling like a Cheshire Cat or something! Journalists in our Country are a disgrace! you disgusting LIARS pic.twitter.com/4pkcklJF3l— jude bellingham updates (@JudeUniverse5) November 16, 2025
To be fair, if you watch the first 10 minutes of the conference he was being fed what I thought was a pretty unfair description of his behaviour to prompt that response - especially from the Guardian journo
No he hasn’t! He will review it and decide there’s nothing to it, just some bs journalist trying to make a story out of nothing.
A review will be seen by the media as him being fuming and they will suggest he will drop him from the World Cup.
Tuchel preferring Bellingham deeper over playing Henderson was quite interesting. Maybe his personal analysis of the pressing in the second half of the Serbia game highlighted the limitations of the current version of Henderson. If you want ‘closer’ or ‘finisher’ type options off the bench Henderson simply is not the option to bring on anymore.
BBC player ratings https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/ce9dlx185rlo Telegraph player ratings. Henderson - 6 - Will be on the bench Quansah - 6 - Back up option Stones - 7 - Behind Guehi and Konsa but giving Tuchel thought (I really don’t agree with this) Burn - 5 - Others ahead of him O’Reilly - 6 - Behind Livramento but ahead of Spence Rice - 7 - One of the first names on the teamsheet Wharton - 5 - Behind Anderson Bowen - 6 - Squad option Bellingham - 8 - Should start Eze - 6 - Better as impact sub Kane - 8 - Certain to start Subs - 7
The English media in this regard are a disgrace and should be called out for it! Tuchel will decide for himself who he will take and not the press, he’s not going to be bullied into dropping one of his best players.
I thought the plusses was Henderson In goal. He looked assured. O'Reilly was very impressive. The rest apart from Kane's goals was meh
They're determined to hurt England's chances. How many other country's press deliberately try to sabotage their national team. The only journalist I respect is Henry winter. He genuinely wants England to do well
It’s going to be so tiring. And it’s hard to see it stopping because if there is one type of person the press hate is someone who openly doesnt like them.
