The way they all going on I think some genuinely think he is being left out in Friday. The Telegraph and Times are not clickbait papers yet both have done articles about Tuchel not going to Anfield tonight (And these articles feel like briefing as both also talk about Welbeck in and Watkins and Bowen out)

We go through this ad nauseum but none of the journalists have a clue about squad selections or line ups as has been proven again and again. There is no inside line.

Reminds me when TAA surprisingly got dropped - which none of the journos predicted - before euro 2020 and then for the next 2 months there were articles about how taa wasn't going to make it, then it emerged after he was picked that Southgate had told him very early he was in the squad.

The reality is journalists are governed by the clicks they can generate. if there's no story they need to manufacture one, and when it's an international break there's only england to report on. They will milk the Bellingham well till it's dry.

 

Harry kane will get criticism from some melts because he hasn't scored tonight but he's led the line brilliantly

Just take them at face value, there's no subtle messaging involved here. He was asked if he's confident about being recalled and said, "I would love to be but it's not my call. I'll be waiting to see."

I'm not sure what else he's meant to say there. He can't really say "yes" so this is the best possible answer he can give.

The fact they've actually printed that is obscene. Anthony Gordon has started every single league and Champions League game for Newcastle since returning from suspension after his red card against Liverpool. The only games Harvey Barnes has started have been EFL Cup games.

I wouldn't expect a secondary school teenager on work experience to make an error like this. Incidentally though I'd bet your average year 10 lad could make a more accurate England squad prediction for Friday than pretty much every single Telegraph writer on the payroll.

 

The telegraph are reporting that Harry kane is likely to be dropped from the squad because he hasn't scored in his last 2 bayern games. He's likely to be replaced with Harry maguire as an emergency striker
