Michael Owen thinks the England manager should be English. Rio Ferdinand seems to agree. (Speaks about it exactly 26 minutes into the video)
The Daily Mail is suggesting fans might boo Bellingham next month. it’s interesting most of that generation do. I suspect the current players are less likely to think that,
Rob Dorsett seems to have heard they're likely to base themselves in middle America in the centre of the country. He mentions Kansas City. Think there was some earlier speculation that'd be the case over the summer https://kcsoccerjournal.com/09/09/2025/report-england-scouting-kansas-city-for-world-cup-base-camp/
an FA delegation visited Kansas and a few other spots earlier in the year. expect we have several tentative spots lined up and will lock in once we understand our group.
They mention how fans seem to be backing his hardline approach to how he is treating him. (Hopefully they have asked some and not basing it on that silly poll they did last week on their website)
I imagine they will wait till the draw is done before fully committing. If it’s most matches in Mexico then Kansas City is quite a long way away. I bet some in media make the error that the big city known Kansas City is not actually in the state of Kansas but next door in Missouri. (A smaller place of the same name is in the state of Kansas)
They didn’t directly mention booing. But I didn’t intend to post it anyway but when I quoted someone else it got posted as I hadn’t deleted it.
Unbelievable. We've just become the first European side to qualify for the World Cup - and done so by winning all our games, not conceding a goal and playing a brand of dynamic, cohesive, front-foot football that we haven't seen in years. What on earth propels you to still try and find a negative, even when there isn't one?
In fairness to Fireburn, it's quite easy to accidentally post a comment that you've typed up and then thought better of. The number of times I've cheerfully gone into the reply box only to find some half-baked idea I had two days ago still sitting there, mocking me with its idiocy... I think this is the article, for what it's worth: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...l-England-fans-Latvia-chanting-World-Cup.html And no, there's nothing much there.

We are in Pot 1 in the World Cup draw. Means we avoid the hosts and other top seeds (ourselves and 8 others).

Its a double edged sword. If it goes badly at the world cup it'll be "why the ******** didn't you pick (insert player here)
I wonder if that will worry the FA about if to extend his contract pre World Cup. Tuchel is making it so failure might be very much be seen on him and mean fans won’t want him to do a Keagan, Capello or Hodgson and survive a clear failure.
We really should be aiming for the QF’s of that particularly if we get Denmark or Croatia as the Pot 2 team. Who knows through what the combined 4 matches over two weeks will be like through.
🚨 Enzo Maresca confirms Cole Palmer will be out for another six weeks with a groin injury: "I was wrong [on Cole being back in November]. Unfortunately, he needs six more weeks. I'd imagine the World Cup will play a big part in the competitiveness of those early Nations League ties. Will teams that go deep in the US tournament, with its heat and energy sapping conditions, then be able to go again afresh just two months later?
Cole Palmer will be out till December. To me that makes him a contender to miss out . Could see Tuchel in March saying he hasn’t played enough for under him and it wouldn’t be fair on others to shoehorn him in,
