Maybe. But it does sound like one of those arranged briefings that the three goalkeepers tomorrow will be Pickford, Henderson and Trafford and we will have to wait to find out if Trafford will join late or miss the U21’s all together.
Arranged briefings are much more exact with their language. Why would anyone pre-release who the goalkeepers are anyway? There is not even a headline moving announcement to make here either. Not even Henderson will start a game or something.
I agree its a dereliction of duty. Its why articles like the one from Burt where he says Trafford 'could' be included in Tuchel's squad (so its far from definitive), should be taken with a pinch of salt.
https://www.skysports.com/football/...-players-face-busy-period-with-club-world-cup Sky Sports are saying 10am announcement tomorrow. . Week long training camp in Spain pre Andorra match. Sounds like Ben White will be included and that Jordan Henderson will keep his place. Suggestion is Marc Guehi could miss out with Harry Maguire returning.

Guehi was always going to miss Palace's game after the final, because of the concussion protocols. I've seen no suggestions he's suffering longer term issues.

Thomas Tuchel set to pick Jude Bellingham despite shoulder injury Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler England head coach expected to name Real Madrid midfielder in squad to face Andorra and Senegal even though he needs shoulder surgery later in the summer Jude Bellingham is expected to be named in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad on Friday despite requiring surgery on a long-standing shoulder injury later in the summer. Tuchel will select his party for next month’s World Cup qualifier with Andorra, which is followed by the friendly with Senegal, and the Real Madrid midfielder should be included. Bellingham has been troubled by the problem since 2023 and has finally taken the decision to go under the knife once Real’s Club World Cup commitments are over. He will miss the first chunk of the 2025-26 La Liga campaign. Despite that, England are planning to call on his services for the match against Andorra, which takes place in Espanyol’s RCDE Stadium on June 7, and the game with Senegal at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground three days later. Tuchel is taking his squad away on a training camp near Barcelona in the build-up to the first game as he looks to bed down more of his key tenets and foster team harmony before the World Cup in 2026 that he has been challenged to win by the FA. England will have to check on a number of players, including Phil Foden, who has indicated he would prefer to be omitted from the get-together in order to rest after a difficult season in which an ankle issue has hampered his performances. Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is set to join Bellingham at Real Madrid when his contract with Liverpool expires at the end of June, missed Tuchel’s first games in charge in March because of injury. He is available again. Tuchel began his reign with victories over Albania and Latvia, and after the meeting with minnows Andorra he may use the Senegal game to experiment. England players at Club World Cup Chelsea: Cole Palmer, Reece James, Levi Colwill, Noni Madueke Man City: Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, John Stones, Rico Lewis Real Madrid: Jude Bellingham (*Trent Alexander-Arnold is wanted by Real, who hope to sign him in time) Bayern Munich: Harry Kane Atletico Madrid: Conor Gallagher He surely has to leave Foden out. Picking a player who has asked to be left out partly due to mental health concerns would be quite controversial I suspect, I wonder if he will call up Stones. I am not sure he is fit to play but if this camp is about team building it could be good to have him there,
Jordan Henderson might join Rangers if Steven Gerard goes back there. Not sure Henderson being a quad regular while playing in SPL will be a good move. And Tuchel seems like he might well take him all the ways to the World Cup.

The squad Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Jordan Pickford (Everton), James Trafford (Burnley) Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold(Liverpool), Dan Burn (Newcastle United), Trevoh Chalobah (Chelsea), Levi Colwill(Chelsea), Reece James (Chelsea), Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa), Myles Lewis-Skelly (Arsenal), Kyle Walker (AC Milan, loan from Manchester City) Midfielders: Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Conor Gallagher (Atletico Madrid), Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest), Jordan Henderson (Ajax), Curtis Jones (Liverpool), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa) Forwards: Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle United), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Noni Madueke (Chelsea), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Ivan Toney (Al-Ahli), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)
Chalbaoh is an odd call he hasn’t been playing that much. Why Walker? Why Gallagher back? Why Gordon ahead of others? Guehi must be more injured than said or he really doesn’t like him.
Logically he is rested but he did underperform last time. Tuchel is going to be an unpopular manager come the World Cup. Don’t think he is going to get a nice buildup with the media.
Clearly doesn’t rate him. Toney is playing in a league most fans in England see as worse as the Championship through .
At least he has rectified the wide options. That was a big issue from the last squad. Much better balance of options. I wouldn’t be calling up the likes of Henderson and Walker but the rest of the squad I can tolerate. If we don’t hear about whether Trafford will be able to play at the Euros I will be raging. Surely one of the first questions? No Man Utd, Man City or Tottenham players in the squad.
Is it? Hasn’t had an amazing season. I don’t think you can moan if you don’t hit double figures for goals in a league season.
Can we stop with this doesn't 'rate rhetoric. He isn't going to choose the same group of players each camp, players will move in and out. Just because someone is not in it doesn't mean he thinks they are a bad player!
