Anyone else finding this forum increasingly hard to scroll through because of the mountain of tweets being reposted? A proper quality filter really wouldn't come amiss.
Dunno, isn't it because the threads are too big generally? It's always been a slow site on certain devices.
I agree. Didn't want to say anything but Fireburn's constant tweeting makes these pages unreadable. He's doing a good thing so don't want to piss on his parade. But I start reading then it scrolls down
This forum has always been a bit weird. The function that is supposed to take you to the first unread post never works, at least on PC.
Would it be easier it i just posted tweets in a spoiler box and an explanation of what the tweet says. But with more articles rather than tweets if I can find them. It just be me but has anyone else noticed the Man Utd fanbase become biased against any England player that isn't an academy produce. Seen a few having ago at Luke Shaw for not being fit to play in the community shield, Happy that they didn't get (overrated) branthwaite and of course all the bollocks alround Harry Maguire.
The big clubs fanbases online are mainly foreign, and as we all know, particularly online, most foreign fans dislike England so its not particularly surprising they're rarely keen on signing the players. With regards to Man United in particular, how many players have moved their in the last decade and actually improved or even maintained their reputation? You can count it on one hand and not need all your fingers. Any high talent young player would do well to avoid that move. Particularly given they were so awful almost all of last season under Ten Hag.
Yes i'd agree about alot of there fanbase being foreign but it seems to be seeping into there English fanbase too. Luke Shaw had some shite luck with injuries. That’s a fact. But what’s also a fact is he chose to go to the Euros when he hadn’t played for United since Feb. He’s now injured again. I don’t think that’s acceptable. https://t.co/dZmuBbRkDW— Ste Howson (@MrStephenHowson) August 8, 2024 Btw what I do find quite funny is all the online twerking they are doing to sign De Ligt. He got dropped for Eric Dier ffs!
Works for me mate. Like Rover said, it's a nightmare to view people's forum messages on any page that's packed with Twitter posts. You've just got to sit and wait for the crazy auto-scrolling to stop each time before you can start reading.
They kind of hate the academy players after a while too. Online football culture is extremely toxic though, especially when a side is underperforming relative to expectations. The problem with Luke Shaw is whilst he's world class when fit and in top form he's only has 2/3 seasons at United where he's been around those levels. Believe it or not this will be his 11th season at United and for most of his career he's been injured or out of form. It is true that the demographic makeup of the online United fanbase means there's a lot of anti-English sentiment but that fanbase is also toxic generally. I agree the move would've been a disaster for Branthwaite. Everton wanted far too much for him and that fee would've been a Maguire-esque albatross around his neck. He would've got no slack from day one.
I’m sorry but Luke sure is not world class ever. He’s good but not close to being world class also, the fan base thing is annoying. On Facebook there are groups of fans from Africa talking shit about other teams telling everyone what Arsenal need to do etc for example and yet they will never go to a game or be involved in anyway, but think their voice is important trolls like that Utd trey moron and various others, always pop up when the club does pride based things etc and say how disgusting it is. They need to realise these are English clubs, stop glory supporting or just shut the fcuk up as no one cares, just support the team and watch the games Social media really ruined a lot of sport and general day to day life, people think they are the main character
Brentford striker Ivan Toney is being looked at by Saudi Pro League clubs, with Al-Ahli keen on the 28-year-old England international. (Fabrizio Romano) AC Milan are keen on a loan move with an option to buy for Roma's 26-year-old English striker Tammy Abraham but face competition from Bournemouth, Everton and Leicester City. (Calciomercato - in Italian)
Toney going to Saudi would be a bad move for him at this stage of his career. If he wants a good pay day then fine but it wouldn’t be good for his England career.
I honestly thought an Italian side would come in for him or a decent European team. He’s a good player
It's difficult to see Toney getting a big move given what Brentford want for him, he's 28 and last season was a poor one so its difficult to imagine any top club wanting him as their main striker. As a rotational striker maybe, but I can't see anyone paying 50m for him, particularly given most clubs are facing financial restraints this season. I suspect his best option will be staying at Brentford, having a good season and then that will leave him on a free with plenty of options next season.
