I don't understand why Gray isn't starting for Spurs.

Quite easy to understand, he's not quite at the level of Sarr, Bentancur and Bissouma yet and is being bedded in cup competitions.

Maybe but I would say his ceiling is higher than all the players you mentioned.

Two goals for Solanke this afternoon.

    Maddison scores as well.

Big afternoon for Solanke. He's playing much more of a poacher role at Spurs than he was at Bournemouth (which I'm not sure suits him that well) but the finish for his first goal was top.

No player has hit the woodwork more often than Noni Madueke in the Premier League this season (3)

I’ve asked about why the X (Twitter) links aren’t working again. Hopefully they will be back up soon.

They keep disappearing for me and it seems it is the same for others.

Liverpool's England defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, 26, is Real Madrid's favourite to reinforce their right-back position. (AS - in Spanish), external

‘As expected, no John Stones or Ruben Dias in today's open session as City prepare for Sporting.
Stones is managing a painful foot condition - plantar fasciitis - while Dias has a muscular issue.
    No Jack Grealish either...’

‘Chelsea hope that scan confirms Cole Palmer suffered no more than a lucky escape.’

I think if Stones misses out fair chance Carsley will bring in either Branthwaite or Harwood - Bellis.

Harwood-Bellis has only just started playing well in recent weeks. He's incredibly raw and nowhere near ready for senior international level imo.

This is the sort of situation where last season someone like Max Kilman would've been handed a call-up but we don't have a lot of CBs playing well atm. Might as well just call up someone like Joe Gomez than hand debuts to players who aren't ready or aren't top prospects.

I agree but Carsley might well decide to reward those who have delivered for him at U21 level.

Yeah I guess it wouldn't shock me. I've just had a look and the options are quite slim. The best bet is Chalobah imo but he still looks a tad rusty after so long without playing much football.

‘Mason Mount returns to group training as Manchester United staff will now manage his comeback on the pitch.’
