Pope, Hall, Livramento, Burn, Willock, Longstaff and Gordon start for Newcastle. Kelly, Barnes and Murphy are on the bench.
Rice and Saka start for Arsenal. White, Lewis - Skelly, Nwaneri and Sterling are on the bench,

 

Sam Matterface and Stuart Pearce on Talksport both calling for Lewis Hall to be called up on Thursday.

 

Smith, Cook and Tavenier start for Bournemouth. Dennis, Hill and Aarons are on the bench.
Walker and Foden start for Man City. Simpson - Pusey. Lewis, Wright, O’Reilly and McActee are on the bench.

Davis, Johnson. Phillips, Chaplin. Delap and Hutchinson start for Ipswich. Walton. Woolfenden, Townsend, Hirst and Clarke are on the bench.
Winks, Vardy and Mavididi start for Leicester. Justin, Coady and Skipp are on the bench.

Alexander - Arnold starts for Liverpool. Gomez, Quansah, Jones and Morton are on the bench.
Hinshelwood and Welbeck start for Brighton. Steele is on the bench.

Gibbs - White, Yates and Hudson - Odoi start for Nottingham Forest. Toffolo and Anderson are on the bench.
Killman, Wan - Bissaka and Bowen start for West Ham. Foderingham, Creswell, Casey and Ings are on the bench.

Ramsdale, Walker - Peters, Harwood - Bellis, Stephens, Downes, Lallana, Armstrong and Archer start for Southampton. McCarthy, Bree, Dibling and Amo - Ameyaw are on the bench.
Pickford, Keane, Tarkowski, Young, McNeil and Calvert - Lewin start for Everton. Branfhwaite, Armstrong and Harrison are on the bench.

Walker back starting and therefore probably in the squad next week. Gibbs - White also back and able to be selected. Jones dropped again.

 

John Stones seems to have been ruled out the next England matches.

Chalobah might get his chance now perhaps. Imagine we getting Guehi and Colwill starting with Trent or Lewis at left back alongside one of those or Walker at right bac against Greece,
Branthwaite doesn’t seem fully fit if he is only on the bench for Everton.

 

Harry Kane now has 60 goal contributions in 41 Bundesliga appearances (47G, 13A)

 

Walker might be washed lads.

 

He really should be persuaded to retire for England and go with some dignity.

 

Personally I think it's commendable that he makes himself available. Doesn't have to, obviously loves playing for England. If he's not selected so be it, doesn't have to retire if he doesn't want to.

 

He nearly retired in 2021 - Southgate said he persuaded him not to.

It's hard to make a case for him when he's getting rinsed for pace on a weekly basis. No-one was picking him for his brain.

 

Jones with a sensational assist, he was a major reason Liverpool turned the game within a few minutes he came on.

 

Gordon playing on the right and putting crosses like a old fashioned winger.

 

I think it would be hard for Carsley - even for his last squad, to gr5 away without a rapper left back on Thursday. Hall and Davis are both getting a lot of shouts.

 

Not sure Dizzee Rascal will be available and not sure he’s a left back.

 

Stormzy would be good though.

Only one left-sided player raps for England, surely.
