Gallagher will probably be in some squads and not others, depending on injuries, him performing at the highest level in the Champions League will probably be a boost for his international prospects. As he's only played 200 odd mins of continental competition in his career.
Him and Mount are ok midfield runners I personally think the answer is. 433 with Wharton rice and Bellingham with Saka, palmer and Gordon as the fro t three when Kane drops off fully
🚨⚪️ EXCLUSIVE: Tottenham explore move for Dominic Solanke, he’s among targets for Spurs.Difficult deal as he’s key player for #AFCB, no formal bid to Bournemouth so far.Spurs exploring options to bring in new striker and potentially new winger, based on opportunities. pic.twitter.com/9MWzylUUjF— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 1, 2024
Spurs are probably my favourite project in the PL atm. The people making the decisions clearly know what they're doing, I think they could do something very impressive in the next few years. If they could somehow get Solanke and one of Eze or Hudson-Odoi I think they'll be in with a strong shout for 3rd this season.

I think maybe you underrate Mount a little bit, I think at his best he's a different level of player to Gallagher. Admittedly he's never done it for England which I can't ignore but I've seen him put in too many dominant performances against top teams on massive stages at club level for him not to be a seriously good player. I think those runner profiles are useful to have in the squad even though I agree we shouldn't start any of them. Between Gallagher, Mount, Jacob Ramsey and Joe Willock (if he can keep fit) we have a very nice selection imo.

Only Spurs fans under the spell of big names don't think so. It's ridiculous the hysteria that most of them are throwing at the possibility of Solanke as their centre forward.
I’m not sure that Mount is coming back through. The signs are that he will be more of a sub in the PL for man United rather than someone actually starting the big matches. Ramsey is another player whose starting place for Villa I’m not entirely sure about.
I'm not sure about most, its an quite an even split I think. The fact we'd have to likely break the release clause of 65m is a major concern for some. I think Solanke would be a great fit personally, really good all-round striker, although his continued underperformance of xG is a bit of a concern.
I just saw some reactions on Twitter, but maybe you're right. I also think Solanke would be a great fit for Spurs, though for some reason I think this deal won't happen in the end.
Yeah there was a lot of negativity, but a lot the Spurs accounts I follow were positive (but that might be because I don't follow a lot of purple and gold lot). Romano isn't great with Tottenham stuff lately (and its hardly an exclusive), Solanke is a name that been linked by a few Tottenham beat journalist for quite a while, so I not sure what Fabrizio is reporting is new information . Apparently Liverpool have a sell on, I think a Loan (with hefty loan fee) and obligation could happen, don't see us splashing a straight £65m, unless we sell Richarlison to Saudi for our money back (which has been a rumour).
He's not clinical in front of goal which is his biggest fault but he still ended up a top 5 scorer in the league playing for a side like Bournemouth last year. I think you need a few forwards who can combine and link play in the final 3rd to help sustain attacks, Solanke will really help in that regard. I think Hudson-Odoi would very useful for that too although that would end up being expensive. It's hard for Mount and Bruno to coexist in an XI but even in the very limited minutes Mount played for United last season he delivered enough good performances (Galatasaray at home, Spurs away for example) to show it's way too early to write him off. His biggest obstacle is keeping free of injuries. It's also not certain that Ramsey spends next season, or at least all of it, at Villa. He's also only 23.
It's utterly mental if Arsenal don't sign a backup forward for Saka. Surely they can't expect him to play ~4k minutes again next season. He's gonna be in a retirement league by the time he's 28 at this rate.
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Newcastle United open negotiations with Crystal Palace to sign Marc Guehi. 24yo England centre-back high on list of multiple leading clubs but #NUFC 1st to hold talks after approach to #CPFC this week. I’m not sure if that is a good move or not. Would be at least one more season out of Europe for him vs other possible clubs.
🚨🔵 Decision time for Conor Gallagher as Atlético are waiting — while his career at Chelsea looks to be almost over.Chelsea offered Gallagher 2+1 new deal, not longer deal as they are concerned that in a high possession system under Maresca he’d only be a squad player. pic.twitter.com/uLAEdkGmzL— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 2, 2024
I think ideally we'd want him at a club in the Champions League and I think he deserves that, but I don't think top four is out of the question for Newcastle if they get this done. They need to sign a right winger and possibly a 6 too but their recruitment has been very good. They can't afford another injury crisis like last season but right now I can see any two of Liverpool, Man Utd, Spurs, Villa & Newcastle finishing 3rd and 4th. I don't think there'll be a tonne separating those teams.

Are they against the signing? He'd cost a bomb, but he seems like a perfect fit and he's proved himself in the Premier League. Looks like a great signing to me if they can pull it off.
They're loathsome - no understanding or concern for football club culture or how their fans feel, and they treat their players like inanimate assets on a balance sheet. The only consolation is that they're so blindingly incompetent that they can't fail to attract criticism. It would be so much more aggravating if they were running the club in such an objectionable way and it was working.
