Real Madrid had planned to sign England right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, 25, on a free transfer next summer when his contract with Liverpool expires, but might move for him in January after Spain defender Dani Carvajal, 32, sustained a serious knee injury. (Sport - in Spanish), external Liverpool have joined Newcastle United and Tottenham in the race to sign 26-year-old attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace. (Football Insider) Marcus Rashford's substitution against Aston Villa triggered a furious reaction at under-fire manager Erik ten Hag. (Daily Mirror) Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson could be in line for a shock Premier League return at the age of 34. (Daily Mirror)
Yes. The next guess is from the Evening Standard who suggest Toney might be recalled if Kane is ruled out. https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/fo...=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1728295302
“Harry Kane will be examined by the England doctors as final diagnosis is still pending”. Statement from Bayern.
Could be a blessing in disguise. I can't get on board with the idea that we should drop him, but we do need to develop ways to play without him - both for future planning and so that we can change the dynamic of games when he's struggling.
That future way is Foden as the spearhead - Saka, Palmer, Grealish - Mainoo, Gomes Name any four defenders and GK

Normally that suggests Kane will be involved but I am sure they was a time where a player (Saka maybe) was in the arrival photos and then ruled out soon after. On Instagram there are also photos of Colwill, Watkins and Rice.

Who knows but I doubt it. Bellingham's unlikely to be crowded out anytime soon unless his head falls off, Grealish is 29 (albeit not reliant on pace, so he may have a decent while left), and I can't really see a Foden spearhead as a long-term option; maybe if the cupboard is completely bare up front post-Kane, but it's not a prospect that fills me with confidence. And there will inevitably be even younger players who'll come through in the next few years, which makes it near impossible to predict with any accuracy.
Harry Kane gets the all clear! 😊Tests by the FA's medical staff confirm that Harry has no structural injury after being substituted in Sunday's match against Frankfurt.#MiaSanMia #FCBayern pic.twitter.com/AVp40pLGua— FC Bayern (@FCBayernEN) October 7, 2024 No Konsa or Gibbs - White in the training video on Instagram along with a couple of others missing as well No unannounced names yet.
Kobbie Mainoo, @EzriKonsa and @Morgangibbs27 have withdrawn from the #ThreeLions squad following injuries sustained over the weekend.Speedy recovery, lads! 👊— England (@England) October 7, 2024 What a surprise no replacements. So we won’t even have a full bench and only three centre backs. to Shows to memit’san FA rather than managerial decision. I bet we going to get Trent or Saka at left back at some point as Carsley teased
Lewis therefore has to start on Thursday at left back or we might have the first England bench in many years with no centre backs on it. (And only two defenders overall). We also have more forwards than defenders yet we start 4 defenders and 3 forwards.
I don't think that means all three centre-backs can't start. If one has to go off then someone else can just move over. I expect a Trent, Stones, Guehi, Colwill back four on Thursday.
