Lack of UK and international television means that streams should be impossible to find for all but a couple matches, thus a catch-all thread for today's Capital One Cup matches. Ream starts for Bolton at Crawley Town of League One. Cameron starts for Stoke against Swindon Town of League One. Guzan and Lichaj start for Aston Villa against Tranmere Rovers of League One. Spector starts, Packwood makes the bench, for Birmingham at Coventry City of League One. Howard and Everton host Leyton Orient of League One on Wednesday. Obviously, no Dempsey for Fulham today at Sheffield Wednesday of the Championship. I'm still trying to find team news for Rogers at Stevenage, Whitbread at Leicester City, Findley at Nottingham Forest and any others I may have forgotten.
Since Stevens is starting for Aston Villa and he's a left back, I think Lichaj will be the right back. Whitbread makes his first start in 5 months and his debut for Leicester City, against Burton FC of League Two.
Grella starts for S******thorpe against Norwich City. Findley not in the 18 for Nottingham Forest against Wigan. Spector still starts, but Packwood doesn't make the bench for Birmingham after all. Either I read it wrong or they made a late change? The last one I'm waiting on is Rogers. According to the previews, he's expected to start but I haven't seen anything yet.
Rogers starts for Stevenage. Edu still hasn't completed his move. He has the work permit and other usual paperwork to take care of.
Apparently Coyle switched to a 4-4-2 (which Bolton has performed atrociously in) for the last 10 minutes, and then the comeback happened. The result is lots of anti-Coyle rage, so I can't determine if Ream was involved.
Lambert is going to make some big changes going into the next match. I don't think he quite has the measure of his best team yet.
Anyone know what position Cameron played? BBC lists: 29 Sorensen 02 Cameron 04 Huth 12 Wilson 20 Upson 30 Shotton (Ness - 77' ) 07 Pennant 18 Whitehead 21 Kightly 09 Jones (Crouch - 77' ) 33 Jerome (Walters - 77' ) Which would make me think he played central defense in place of Shawcross, rather than D-Mid like he played last game. Also BBC said pre-match that Cameron was expected to be rested.
Midfield. Cameron is fitting in well at Stoke. I think he earned an MLS assist on the equalizer; a long ball to Peter Crouch who passed to Walters for the finish.
