Frances’s attack and defence is obviously world class but they look light in midfield.

This guy, with a punchable face, :D is trying to be or sound like Michael Jordan and trying make things up, but he doesn’t even play anymore. That’s how you get attention, my friends.

They are no where near the level of South Korea or Japan in Asia.

Australia have had better players than USA if you go back the last 20 years and longer imo

USA have a strong couple in balogan and Perisic but after that, nothing special

let’s see how you do vs a team that isn’t shit

From the U.S. perspective, Australia’s convincing win over a UEFA nation is actually beneficial. Any chance of complacency is now off the table. The USA now know they are facing a formidable opponent capable of punishing mistakes and taking advantage of opportunities. Australia’s performance was a reminder that they are a disciplined and well-organized side. For the U.S., that result should sharpen their focus and ensure they approach the match with the intensity and respect required at a World Cup.

USA don’t necessarily need better players against Australia, they need and they have better collective of players as a team. That comes with better coaching.

It’s World Cup football, this isn’t swimming rivalries at the Olympics where the Aussies get really animated. :D I remember years ago @BarryfromEastenders was fascinated by this. Lol

You should probably win as your at home and have better players, but Australian teams across all teams sports are extremely competitive (even when outmatched) and almost always perform above the sum of there parts.

Objectively there's little between South Korea and Australia over the last 4 years or so results wise. Reflects in their rankings also - in the FIFA rankings South Korea 21st, Australia 22nd, in ELO Australia 23rd, South Korea 26th.

They still do it ask South Africa. Maybe they've turned it down a bit.. But they are the last country to try and windup if you ask me.

I agree you don’t want to wind them up, but the mental disintegration angle isn’t really that much of a thing these days. Certainly no more than other teams, but they are ridiculously competitive even when they have on paper average teams.
