This rumour has been reported for quite some time now but still nothing official as far as I know. Ironically, he´s the type of midfielder who could really elevate their midfield.

 

So seems like the masters of the dual nappers strike again! No one is safe if there’s a player in your youth developing program with Moroccan heritage.

 

Or Croatian. The DACH region knows a thing or two about Croatian duals...

 

Thank god we haven’t a huge diaspora of Moroccans in England it seems, can only think of the young Chelsea kid who might be a loss in the future and probably knowing our luck will be another Olise moment…..

So sounds like it´s actually about to happen this time. Heard some reports from the Moroccan media that the delay was apparently due to Zidane contacting him and trying to talk him out of switching and reiterating how he sees him as a very important piece of France´s future midfield which would pretty much confirm the rumours of him taking over after the World Cup.

 

No Godts for Belgium. Also could they have the best trio of goalkeepers for this WC? Not saying *the* best goalkeeper (although you could argue with Courtois) but I wouldn´t break a sweat with any of them starting if I was a Belgium supporter.

 

No Hidemasa Morita is a huge surprise for me. He apparently made some comments about their style of play which didn´t resonate well at all with Moriyasu...

Looks like Ben Farhat will try his luck with Germany from now on. Don´t like the manner of it though; could be very telling of his character. Bridges with Tunisia definitely burned. It´s like the Rice siuation but on crack!

 

Never been all that impressed by Simon but good call.

 

Through Rice’s dad wanted him to stick with Ireland. Which is not the case with Farhat.

 

The World Cup in America is fertile ground for FIFA officials to commit white-collar crimes. Given FIFA’s track record, I almost guarantee that the next U.S. administration delivers another round of “orderly and professional” indictments reminiscent of the 2015 arrests.
