I think they will. They look a real real handful.

Their defence is awful. If they keep going forward they will be fine but better teams will exploit them

The Paraguayan's are physically blown away.
US simply stronger and quicker, which has been the very thing which has allowed them to move the ball quicker and look so impressive with the ball.

The Paraguayan's simply cannot handle the physicality. Man for man, they look shorter, slower and physically out muscled.

It's like watching midgets playing against grown men

The canopy is fixed, it doesn't open and close. There's no climate control and the sides are open to allow sea breezes but it can still get hot.

Best half of football USA's played since 2002 when they led Portugal 3-0.

This team for sure can make the quarterfinals and by far the best of the host nations. I never for a second thought Mexico is better just because of their home crowd.

The contrast between the US and Mexico yesterday is stark.

Let’s be clear Mexico are shite. They are only considered because of the altitude.

The arrogance and disdain you display for the Bosnian team is exactly why Romania, Wales, Italy and now Canada all couldn't beat us. Also a huge LOL at Canada looking "significantly technically better", maybe in your dreams only.

Paraguay lost the ball about three times in the build up to the third goal. All whilst trying to thread the ball through small gaps. Then they get physically bullied in another 1v1. Never seen a tournament before when so many teams have zero situational awareness. Close the half out and take the 2-0.

Same situation yesterday watching South Africa concede the first goal and then the first red card.
Even Bosnia looked very sluggish like they were lacking that spark (in spite of the draw).

Host advantage is real, but these opponents all look like they've been taking bloody ketamine..

Or, South Africa, Bosnia and Paraguay are respectively some of the poorer qualifiers from each confederation?

Paraguay qualified on the basis that they won almost every game in Asuncion. They lost every game at Copa America in 2024.

I'm not surprised at all by this.

Bosnia? Unbeaten in 9 games, knocked out Wales and Italy. Meanwhile, Paraguay finished 6th out of 10 in their qualifiers.

    Fantastic performance by the US.

Paraguay… good grief, Australia and Turkey must be licking their chops at the opportunity to run at that team.

Wow, for the last year or two, I’ve doubted this USA team.

US were great. Really enjoyed that.

As for Paraguay… I’ll say it again I don’t really rate any of the South American teams, and nothing I’ve seen recently has deterred me from that view.

Honestly, I think the USMNT was just that good and Paraguay will have a better chance against Australia and Turkey.

I haven't followed the them much over the last year, but I was very encouraged about them when they played Germany last week.
