Swapping shirts and cuddling etc. Feels like the type of things that could cause issues more than everyone shaking hands with him or not which is what the articles said the FA were thinking about.
I can't lie I really don't want to see our Arsenal players being friendly with Partey at any point. Maybe I'm being unrealistic and having expectations that are too high but it seems like a measure of basic decency to me.
If they are thinking about pre-match issues then I assume post match will be the same. I thought you would be more bothered about pre-game player press conference questions etc.
Those normally would have been easy - no comment for legal reasons. (The British press can’t really even ask much). But post match things like a shirt swap would go viral on social media and cause issues.
I’d have thought their agents and sponsors won’t like it either - if he was to be found guilty footage like that would look bad in retrospect.
CAN 🇨🇦 0-0 🇧🇦 BIH (5') - CONCACAF sides are on a 12-match WINLESS run vs European nations at the World Cup.Last win: Hirving Lozano's Mexico 1-0 vs reigning champions Germany — Russia 2018, 8 YEARS ago.Canada can end it tonight.— MisterChip (English) (@MisterChiping) June 12, 2026
My head would be on another planet if my team had just conceded at a home World Cup and minutes later they started playing Whitney Houston songs.
Canada haven't been bad but without Davies to elevate them in attack they're going to struggle a lot, him being injured is a real death knell for this Canada team. Just very limited in quality without him and would really need Jonathan David to step up his game in a way I don't think he's capable of. I wouldn't be surprised to see them out in the groups even in what is a very favourable group. They came a hell of a long way between 2018 and 2022 in squad development, just a shame for them it seems to have stalled thereafter and if anything probably a weaker group nowadays with Davies' issues.
After watching this Bosnia team eliminate Wales and Italy in the playoffs, I knew they were going to be a complete mare to play against. I can see them getting out of the group and causing an upset in the knockouts. They're the type to do a job on Mexico or one of the dirty South American teams
I think they'll most likely get through if they avoid defeat here but I can't see them making it beyond the RO32, even here a very limited Canada side look significantly technically better than them just with a completely hopeless attack who've fluffed multiple opportunities from really good positions. It's not like they're defending well at all. Absolute humiliation from Italy to get knocked out by them.
#GetThisChip - Before Lukić's goal tonight, the LAST player from a Romanian-league club to score at a World Cup was Ilie Dumitrescu — a brace vs Argentina at USA 1994, playing for FC Steaua Bucureşti.That World Cup was also hosted in North America. 32 YEARS ago.— MisterChip (English) (@MisterChiping) June 12, 2026
Some of the bitter comments from the taffs regarding the Bosnians. When Croatia knocked us out of euro 2008 I didn't care less about the Croatians that tournament
