Never going but the use of VAR in the world cup has been absolutely appalling. So much variation game to game between when VAR decides to intervene and where it doesn't. Argentina end the world cup astonishingly without a single VAR intervention against them, while also having the most interventions in favour of them. It's an all timer of favourable reffing.
We are producing better footballers than we pretty much ever have, even if the ones that people think will don’t, plenty of others will.
It was somewhat tongue in cheek. We have a lot of talent coming through. We just need to get the pathway through to the national team right. I feel the Premier League is potentially a blocker with the instant demands, and I worry about Dowman being at Arsenal given how Arteta plays.
The Pl is a huge problem but reforms won’t come unless we have a huge failure. And even the PL will fight like hell to prevent them and their PFA frenemies will assist if they think its pro international football reforms,
Apparently the ceremony was delayed as there was a problem in the toilets trying to get Infantino’s head out for Trumps ass.
After watching the game back yesterday, the game control was with Argentina and then England scored against the run of play. But the game control swung so much further in Argentina's direction after the goal, that people are retrospectively remembering it being even game until the goal. This is why Tuchel made the subs he did. After watching it again, (without the nerves), as much as they were wrong, I understand why Tuchel made those changes at the 70th minute. Edit: im not defending Tuchels decisions, they screwed us, I'm just highlighting that the assumption we would have won had he not made the changes is very debateable
Yeah, lets go back to having players score against us with their hand or assualting us inside the box, and let them have only a yellow and us only a free kick outside the box. Thats so much better. VAR is not perfect, but it should be improved not abolished.
So so so happy to see those uncouth, odious scumbags sent packing. 10/10 hatewatch. The worst world champions of all time, both on the pitch (FIFA rigged it for them) and off the pitch(the racist chants about the French players, the Falklands gestures, the behaviour from their fans) I could be here all day.
Clearly, the occasion was too big for Tuchel. We came into the game exhausted, mainly due to Tuchels squad selection, and overuse of a too small group of players, and then Tuchel panicked. First with the team selection, picking Rogers over a fit Saka, due to some physicality reason. You don't see world class coaches do that. Then he was paralyzed not using substitutions. After maybe 65 minutes, things was out of control. And beyond recovery..
It's high time Argentina start focusing on producing technical players rather than valuing pace and power. Declan Rice would have added a lot of stability to this team.
