I think today shows you generally do. Despite completely dominating, if Simeone scores at the end there then most people would have had Argentina winning on penalties. They should have been 3 or 4 up, but didn't have the structure up front to do it.
You don't need an elite strike. Just someone to make the plays you need.

 

I also think it's sad how poor the atmosphere is in this stadium. No real fans, no connection with the players there and the fans.

If England had won this, there would be absolute scenes going on now, wonderwall, sweet Caroline, just an electric atmosphere. It just seems very flat for a final

That was not only the worst world cup final I've ever seen, but one of the worst games I've ever seen anywhere. Argentina were playing for penalties from the start.

 

That’s one of out biggest issues. We lose so much talent. To be fair so do Spaon with how much players seem to get broken coming out of Barcelona - some are here but not fully right and others have fallen away.
