If you play Spain, you know exactly what you’re going to get. They’re a team with a clear identity and a well-defined game plan. The downside, though, is that they aren’t particularly unpredictable. You know how they’ll try to control possession, build attacks, and dominate the ball. It’s the same with Spain’s women. England knew exactly what they were facing in the final. Spain stuck to their identity and played the way everyone expected—they were brilliant, but they were also predictable.
I can see how a casual or new fan of the game would see them as boring, as they lack a cutting edge. Yamal has been a bit up and down this tournament. With a fully fit Yamal and Williams, they become a lot more traditionally exciting. If you appreciate their style of play, however, they are always pleasing on the eye.
That would never happen. Lee Carsley and Thomas Tuchel are polar opposites as coaches. They have an entirely different view of the game and they selected their squads in line with that. Tuchel hasn't picked the players to play that way in the first place.
Hopefully there will be Messi vs And in the end England won. If you are talking about the last final between the teams.
The opposite of creepy sexual advances. “This hug means so much to me... You deserve all the good things in this world.” 🥹A special moment between Jenni Hermoso and Borja Iglesias after Spain booked its place in the World Cup Final on Tuesday 🫶🎥 @Jennihermoso / 💬 @leylahamed pic.twitter.com/6MiwoqxiO4— W Golazo (@WGolazo) July 15, 2026
One of the bizarre things about this tournament: why do so many Americans call the World Cup “the fifa” ? https://t.co/xkbkwlUE5I— Adam Crafton (@AdamCrafton_) July 15, 2026
So many parallels between Spurs and England. That was Spursy and as for Spurs Kane lets us down on the big occasions. Tuchel went defensive...........FATAL with 30 minutes to go.
England quit attacking, surrendered possession, and paid the price. You cannot do that against the quality of Argentina. This is a horrible coaching decision by Tuchel. The lack of fight to preserve the 1-0 is such a sporting malpractice. England just stopped playing.

I think it was actually French 1690: The first recorded European sighting was by the English captain John Strong, who sailed through the strait between the two main islands. 1764: The first permanent settlement was established by the French at Port Louis. 1765: The British established a separate settlement at Port Egmont.
None of these players should be given UK visas again. https://t.co/Ivfe3CfrCh— Harry Cole (@MrHarryCole) July 15, 2026 Campaign started to ban the Argentines from the PL. PL Clubs might be finding their have a lot of worthless assets soon,
It was not. Their claim is comical, borderline infantile. Their population is ironically very ignorant of the history of the islands and believe that we just randomly invaded in 1833. When you educate them they will retreat to the claim that it must be their because a) it's close by (300 miles!) or b) because the Pope said so.
Rodri and Morata both received one match bans after singing "Gibraltar is in Spain" after the Euro 24 Final. FIFA will likely give them a token fine.
I don't know why the Argies are so obsessed with the Falkland islands. From what I've seen of it on the TV, it looks f***ing w@nk. Like living in the 1950s and freezing cold.
It's a political tool used by their government. They keep this obsession bubbling so that when things are going badly they can throw around some strong language about claiming the islands to distract from whatever they're making a mess of. The truth is that the UK set out it's stall by using the self-determination argument, meaning that if Argentina were serious about claiming the islands all they would need to do is convince a couple of thousand people to be on their side. Instead all they do is antagonise the islanders and keep the hatred strong.
