Can anyone tell me when and where the team will be doing its end of season equipment sale so I might try to get down from Buffalo for it. ThanQ in advance.

They had the sale a few weeks ago at the meet-the-team day for season ticket holders.

There are rumors another may be coming at the end of the season though. I'm sure one of our more informed posters would know a lot more about the validity of my statement than I do, though.

They'll probably have a bunch of 'game issued' and rarely used Moreno gear.

Right next to the David Hayes pile.

At the last one they had a Sergio Salas jersey. Now you know that one has to be good as new!! :D

I expect to see a pile of Lassiter, Moreno, Curtis, McKinley, Williams, Curtis, and Alavanja (among others) equipment for sale. It wouldn't surprise me to see equipment from any of our current "players" on sale.

I spent too much at the Meet the Team equipment sale though, so I don't know if I'll buy any more.

I guess I ought to start going to these events. I didn't realize they sold this sort of stuff off.

I've heard that there is a new Road Jersey in the works for next year. Last year at the stadium they sold alot of merchandise as much as 50% off at the last home game.

2000: White w/red road jerseys make their debut.
    2000: DCU begins its downslide.

    Coincidence?

    You make the call.

What do jerseys generally end up going for at these events?

I hereby call for the elimination of all red from United's uniforms (except for in the logo).

I want to see us wearing the German national team shirt in away matches next season.

I heard that the shirts will be the same design as the home shirts, but white with red stripes and mesh panels.

That's pretty much Germany's shirt, except with that pesky red instead of black.

I thought you were referring to what they wore in the early 90s, with the multi-colored Van Halen logo at the top...

One problem with the "new" road shirt: the red panels under the arms will actually be...wait for it...PINK! Blech.

Don't worry, after watching the World Cup I can confirm that the mesh under the arms won't last a half! Therefore there will be only white under the arms with tatters of red hanging free. :)

    Watching the world cup games?

That happens frequently with DC's new black jerseys. I think some of our players have been through as many as 3 jerseys in one game with the new "breakaway" jersey.

We're just recycling NFL technology from the 1970's anyway. Next, the goalkeepers will be wearing Stick-um.

Now that I think of it, I haven't seen our jersey's tear nearly as much as they were in the beginning of the year.

I think this has more to do with DC United not getting "stuck in" than with an improvement in Jersey material.... :(

Yeah. You have to run in order for an opponent to need to grab your jersey...
