Today we wave goodbye to Milan Mandaric our maverick and colourful Chairman for the last 3.5 years. Obviously, we wish him and, probably more importantly, Sheffield Wednesday all the best. No-one wants to see this historic side fall into oblivion.

Well, Mandaric's time at Leicester City was quite a roller-coaster ride and never without a dull moment. Fortunately, he didn't fulfil his somewhat amusing "if it takes 20 managers" statement and all the turmoil that brings.

Apart from financially rescuing Leicester City Football Club he will also be remembered as to being the one at the helm during our darkest hour, a dreadful slip into the third tier of English football for the very first time in our illustrious 125 year history.

So now we look forward under Thai & Indonesian ownership with a manager who has serious credentials in football management with a squad which is improving week by week. The fans are ready for lift-off with a long, sustained and overdue period of success. Of course, only time will tell. Let's move on with confidence in the hope that we shall reach the 'Promised Land' before long and all the additional treasures that success will bring.
