Empoli opportunities for Washington players?

Empoli FC, an Italian Football Club Association organization, will have its FIFA scout in Bellevue at Robinswood Park to give area players ages 13-21 the chance to earn a contract with the club.​

The trial will take place July 16-20 at the Robinswood Park turf fields and offer players a chance to win a fully paid month-long trip to Italy.​

During the first month for those selected, there will also be an opportunity to secure a nine-month contract with the club while also gaining credits at the National School of Assisi for those who are full-time students.​

It's a funny one; whoever is selected gets a change at what appears to be a "real" contract, but on the other hand registration for the program is $200 for the week. But on the other other hand, I am guessing that's a reasonable rate for a week or so of soccer instruction.
