Have I really become so conditioned to not seeing supporters in the stands that I do a double take when I spot actual bodies in seats? Crazy. Good to see them back. Anyways... Sabbi looked dangerous every time coming down the flank. OB looks to have a decent side and it’s one that suits Sabbi’a style. After a few games under his belt with OB, he could be a really nice addition and focal point to the squad
There are some crazy results with unusual many goals in this first Superliga round after the summer break, earlier today Amon's FCN were leading by 2-0 at half-time away against Brøndby, but still lost by 2-3 and Brøndby even misused a penalty.
Noticed when the camera is zoomed in I see little to no face masks. Oh wait...... Denmark has their shit together regarding COVID-19
I have a friend who lives in Copenhagen, and she mentioned recently that it's really jarring for her to hear Danish people refer to Covid in the past tense. That seems premature, since they're experiencing a new spike in confirmed cases, but their spike is 300 per day, not 70,000.
Sabbi looked good in his debut... the whole team did. If you watched the game it was hard not to notice how geeked Sabbi was to be part of a team that is actually functional. His smile was from ear to ear. He looked like he was on cloud nine.
According to Danish media Sabbi was only getting DKK (Danish Crowns) 35,000 a month while playing for Hobro, so DKK 420k a year = around $ 67,000 but is now getting DKK 250k a month, or DKK 3 million a year = $478K a year at OB Odense. For a club like OB Odense it would seem like much, but not so much when they did not have to pay a transfer fee. It's all part of the "package" when they calculate how much it's going to cost them during his contract period, perhaps also expecting a future transfer fee, which is also why Hobro never pay all that much, because they are not able to make much of a profit if any.

I said it after watching him play last week and I will say it again... Sabbi must be absolutely ecstatic that he is out of Hobro and playing for a team that actually competes. I didn't get to watch this one but he was great in his 1st appearance and you could hardly see him w/o a big grin on his face. Now he scores in his 2nd game and OB starts with 4 points in two games. Could be a team to watch.
You're right, teams never do better than their average finishing position. Also, OB were in the top half Championship round a couple of seasons ago, and finished second in 2009/10 and 2010/11. Although usually they finish 7-10, like you said.

I don't follow the Superliga much so I will bow to the wisdom of those more familiar with the league... but they are certainly off to a positive start.

It helps that he's playing his natural position as a forward and not forced into the wing as with Hobro.
To be honest, OB Odense and FC Nordsjælland are about the same level, but with FCN being the youngest top-flight team in Europe, so more or less a U-21 team and younger with a few more experienced additions. Non of them are fighting for the championship, but to be among the top-6 that will escape the relegation battle and reach the Danish Championship group stage. Highlights, with more Sabbi :
He looked very direct in these. Very capable of getting his shots on target. Pretty excited about him. Having the confidence he was playing with this early with a new team is promising.
He's got to be absolutely ecstatic checking his banking app. That's a heck of a raise. Winning doesn't hurt either, of course.
