Re: Eminem Mosh Video That was pretty good, very effecitve, but it would have been more so if it came out about 3 weeks ago. I'm not a huge fan of Eminem, but I will give him credit, that was quality.
Re: Eminem Mosh Video best eminem song and video ever (and I liked quite a few of them). But a bit to late imo...
Re: Eminem Mosh Video yeah I agree. It really is good to see that people with public influence are trying to get the importance of the Vote on the agenda. I've even seen a DJ Whoo Kid mixtape with Jadakiss (Big Rap Industry Names) called "Rap the Vote"!
Re: Eminem Mosh Video ... not even close to Em's best imo but I agree the video was pretty powerful. I don't have a problem with the timing as even if someone registers to vote it doesn't mean they're actually going to go do it. I liked the part with Osama and Cheney which suggests the administration manipulates the terror warnings for political purposes.
Ties his ish into the Chronic Future vid with the slap-a-helmet-and-a-rifle-on Bush sequence, as well as the parents standing together as the masses move on up the steps... Hip-hop had to wait for Eminem to drop on the war, and heads still have nothing to say. A diss-grace. Even PE should have dropped one of the two albums b4 Selection Day.
Just my guess but I don't think Dan is into leather chaps and dog collars so you won't have to worry about him going into your bars.
Re: Eminem Mosh Video Shady has sold more records than Elvis, the Beatles, and Slim Whitman combined.
Actually I was in the UP of Michigan for the weekend visiting my GF's family (say YA to the UP and all that). You are probably not from MI and don't know its reputation which is something like being a Midwestern Appalachia, only covered in snow. And you know what **************, I didn't see very many Bush signs anywhere but quite a few "Sportsmen for Kerry'. See up there its all blue collar and you know what they are getting hit hard economically and with the war. The lutheran church (I was forced to go to) has a list of its members who have been killed already in Iraq and the NG call ups are killing them. Not to mention the few manufacturing/mining jobs are going going gone.Mostly due to corporate buy ups and expanding conglomerates. The point being don't ever assume that people don't know their class interests, in fact up there you will find some of the most class conscious folks around, they are getting screwed and they KNOW by whom. That my friend transcends race lines. Go up to Marquette or Ishpimeng and see all those pick ups with anti war stickers all over them. Inner city poor folk have inherently similar economic interests as anyone else, except their blue collars are being worn in China,Mexico etc. these days
Bush couldn't spell Eminem, much less know who he is. That is the beauty of Bush. He has achieved a zen-like state of ignorance.
I guess somebody else has to spell out that class actually unites/divides ppl more than race and/or culture.
But in the end, he's going to have a lot more in common w/ his class brethren than a uber-rich black cat in Manhattan who has a chauffeur so as to not get pulled over by the cops...
preaching to the choir, ppl. Look up my post history, especially regarding Chivas USA... Still, the guys in the factory tend to get beers w/ their peers. Large scale national successes and failures hit social classes the same, much more than race.
