i seem to have stopped getting new emails informing of new posts to threads. i looked in my profile and it would seem to be working. my isp has had some email problems but i am getting other emails today from clients, etc. so i figure it is working. i might be too stupid to figure out the right profile setting. i am in the computer business and realize this is likely user error
I am getting other emails as well. I'm not in the computer business and not that computer savvy so I hope it is on BS' end and it will be fixed sooner rather than later.
just noticed on MyBigSoccer that all threads are listed that I'm subscribed to which sometimes I'll go in there and it'll say something like "no new posts in last 24 hours" even though there has been. I like the email notifications.
I'm talking to MIGkiller, and he tells me that the same thing has happened to him, and to make it worse, hes not allowed to post anymore. I see a lot of people are having the same problem.
I'm not getting them too. First I thought it was a problem with my email and because of that I changed the email account in my profile, but things went even worse: since I had to confirm the email change and all the Bigsoccer notification functions seem not to be working, I couldn't confirm and thus I was not allowed to post, reply or PM anymore, for one day. Quite a technical trap that I've fallen into. Fortunately I could get in contact with one of the BS administrators by email and he liberated my membership for me, so at least I can post again.
The worst part is that I really miss that false sense of self-worth I used to get when I saw that I had mail. I used to get real e-mail. Then I got Big Soccer e-mail and spam. Now I only get spam anymore. I really hope the spam doesn't stop coming.
