what do you guys think about whats goin down. let me know what you think, i especially want to get IDIAMINS opinion on this. i cant wait for the source or BET awards when they will most likely have to cross paths. ja's battle song was crap, not funny like the hail mary 03 what do you think.
My friend actually explained the whole thing. Both Ja Rule and 50 grew up in the same neighborhood in Queens, and they knew each other, and knew the stuff that the other got into. Ja Rule calldc him record label Murder Inc, and raps about being gangsta, murdering, drugs, and thug life in general. Unfortunatly, 50 thinks the dude is selling out cuz he knew That Ja never was really into that stuff, while 50 had been. He thinks Ja Rule is using thug life (a life that 50 actually lived) for money. Which is true, but he just doesn;t think that Rule should have a right to that. There is also personal crap between them. One time they saw each other in Queens, 50 waved hi Rule. and Rule snubbed him. another time the two got into a fist fight (who in his right mind gets into a fist fight with 50 Cent I have no idea, the dude is jacked). another time somebody stole Rule's necklace and 50 knew the guy but never said anything to Rule. all sorts of crap if you wanna believe it. which i'm not so sure if I do
hmmmm sounds like some FUNNY bogus marketing crap to me. thanks appooOnU for actually contributing something to this unlike others , i didnt really know what happened in the past.
These battle records happen all the time, nothing new. There was Nas vs Jay-Z from couple of summers ago, Eminem vs Benzino or Everlast or Fred Durst, Canibus/Wyclef vs LL Cool J, 2Pac vs East Coast, Roxanne Shante vs The Real Roxanne and of course the granddaddy of them all, KRS-One vs MC Shan. More than anything it helps the street rep for the MC that wins it, so yeah, it's a nice marketing gimmick.
Well, let me clarify- Of course it's just marketing, they're both business men first, at this point. I think Ja Rule is pissed because people can't tell the difference between him and Usher anymore. Is this just his attempt at differentiation?
