It's a story about hobbits. Not about the powers and principalities of Middle Earth. It's more Below Decks than the bridge of the Enterprise.
Eagles. But because the GM wants the campaign to go on longer, they only show up at the last second as a deus ex machina.

Legal age of consent is 16 in England right? So Brand is in no legal trouble, just PR trouble. Or are these women suing him?
Headlines vs story. As far as I know, he is not being sued by the girls he tricked into fvcing him, just social media calling it rape, but I have only read a few articles, maybe they are suing him, I do not know.
Didn't know that Eels got nailed fishing off the billionaire pier https://nypost.com/2023/09/15/googl...8y_TcTF45GMo3x6hZEZLxp_FZAVHE4yb7MaDIVBCP9Xbw
Musk says that Twitter is going to go to some paywall / micropayment system. To stop bots. Because no scammer or foreign government will be willing to spend money to reach their audience. That's why crypto shills and Russian trolls never have blue checkmarks.
It's a darn shame Threads turned out to be such a bust.. Seriously.. All they needed was a following tab and it would have done great, but no one could make it past the initial learning process of the algorithm.
What they needed to do was go to the celebrities and national and local news and government organizations, and say "we have this thing called threads, we're meta" and get the content on the system beforehand. Then people sign up and look for what they're looking for and check it, and voila. It's a chicken and egg content and platform thing.
I still like threads, less drama, but is harder to share, that is why we all post links to twitter here and not to threads.
Wall Street Journal is reporting that there is a DoJ criminal probe into the perks that Musk has gotten as CEO of Tesla. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/e...nder-justice-department-scrutiny-wsj-2d9f0472 I don't have a subscription to WSJ, but for those that do: https://www.wsj.com/tech/justice-de...rx3f4fhppon&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink
Alexandra Petri, who does humorous social commentary for the Post, had a nice "article" today entitled "Things Both My Toddler and Elon Musk Do That Are Signs of Genius, Apparently."
No desktop functionality from the start, no way to see following, no search or discover feed, and tried to gain momentum on a time Musk was being capricious. A quick google shows that there is desktop functionality but for a limited user base. But it's a repeat of Google+, trying to swing for the fences from the start. Bluesky (And I'm a user there) has the most potential. It has an app, desktop functionality, a discover feed, search, and there's a 3rd party app called Skyfeed already. Most of the popular users on Twitter are already at Bluesky, plenty of notable journalists are there.
I would also boost Spoutible (stupid name), but it doesn't have the quality of users as Bluesky. Spoutible was built by a guy who built a 3rd party anti-bot&trolling software for Twitter. It is a nice place. BS is the only place I post though...
