It's not like he's designing anything except on a napkin before anything starts. And he never wanted to buy Twitter, he just wanted to impress the people who were red-pilling him and did it so badly he was forced to buy Twitter by a court of law.
There is speculation that Elmo will have to sell Tesla stock to bail out Twitter Rev is down 84% since the takeover lololz “I would be expecting something between $1 and $2 billion in stock,” said Bradford Ferguson, president and chief investment officer of asset manager Halter Ferguson Financial, in comments posted to YouTube on Wednesday. This alone could cause the stock to lose between 5% and 10% of its value. “It’s a massive hole they need to plug.” Ferguson based his assessment on internal second-quarter figures recently obtained by the New York Times. According to this report, X booked $114 million worth of revenue in the U.S., its largest market by far. This represented a 25% drop over the preceding three months and a 53% drop over the year-ago period. That already sounds bad. But it gets worse. The last publicly available figures prior to Musk’s acquisition, from Q2 of 2022, had revenue at $661 million. After you account for inflation, revenue has actually collapsed by 84%, in today’s dollars. https://fortune.com/2024/08/15/elon...dvertiser-boycott-finances-bradford-ferguson/
If I was a gazillionaire I would not touch Twitter/X with a 10 foot pole. Lucky for me I don't have that problem!
it will be sold at a knock down price to some corporate IMO. the only problem is Elmo likely banjaxed the user graph in which case the value is zero.
yes. that was basically all the value in the business. it’s the thing you can’t recreate easily in a competitive business.
Sell it off to a private equity firm for some raping & pillaging to complete the lifecylce of 21st century corporate 'Merica
We'll know it's for real when there's a Bigsoccer P&CE thread devoted to it. I recommend that the first one be called ". . . if I work all day in the Bluesky Mine. . . "
Is this another instance of when I need to click 'Show ignored content' to make sense of a post? My guess is, 'yes'.
Its kind of like twitter 10 years ago One thing that has been going on is that communities have been mass migrating e.g recently UK politics twitter moved over and someone created a list of 200+ people - so you can do a mass or selective follow and its awesome for everyone This is very similar to sports twitter where back in the olden days people created lists and you followed them for niche stuff - e.g football analytics twitter was awesome way back then
