sogndal again! wow they seem to be improving. the full reports aren't online yet. i'll post when they do. sogndal has an american named robbie russel who starts for them.
Yes. I am playing Championship Manager and I have called him into camp from Sogndal. Sorry to see that Lyn has taken a dive in the standings.
R results from 8-17 and 18 Glimt - Odd 1 - 3 Bryne - Sogndal 3 - 0 Moss - LSK 0 - 2 Stabæk - Brann 1 - 0 Start - Lyn 2 - 2 Molde - RBK 1 - 2 Lyn fails to keep pace with RBK, terrible! new coach is killing us.
Re: R results from 8-17 and 18 Lyn came from 0-2 down to draw 2-2. Some consolation. Next game is the city derby match vs Vålerenga.
here is the table and i believe it is up date. i got it from http://www.dagbladet.no/pls/dbprod/fotball.html_ligatabell?pliga=28 Rosenborg 19 12 3 4 40-24 39 Lyn 19 11 3 5 26-22 36 Molde 19 10 4 5 30-16 34 Stabæk 19 10 4 5 33-22 34 Viking 19 8 8 3 34-21 32 Odd Grenland 19 10 2 7 29-24 32 Vålerenga 19 6 8 5 29-22 26 Bodø/Glimt 19 7 3 9 30-28 24 Bryne 19 6 4 9 28-33 22 Brann 18 6 3 9 24-31 21 Sogndal 19 6 2 11 25-38 20 Lillestrøm 19 5 4 10 18-27 19 Moss 19 4 5 10 20-33 17 Start 18 2 5 11 18-43 11
r The table as of today (a 2-2 draw between Glimt and Viking): the whole table remains tight mostly one or two points separating teams. should be a wild finish to one of the best years in recent memory. http://www.dagbladet.no/pls/dbprod/fotball.html_ligatabell?pliga=28 Rosenborg 20 13 3 4 42-24 42 Lyn 20 12 3 5 27-22 39 Molde 20 11 4 5 32-17 37 Stabæk 20 10 5 5 34-23 35 Viking 20 8 9 3 36-23 33 Odd Grenland 20 10 3 7 30-25 33 Vålerenga 20 6 8 6 29-23 26 Bodø/Glimt 20 7 4 9 32-30 25 Sogndal 20 7 2 11 28-40 23 Lillestrøm 20 6 4 10 25-27 22 Bryne 20 6 4 10 29-35 22 Brann 19 6 3 10 26-34 21 Moss 20 4 5 11 20-35 17 Start
Lyn best i by'n Lyn beat vålerenga for the second time this season. They won the fall clash 1-0 after having won the spring meeting 2-1. Despite the close scorelines, Lyn were dominant throughout. Theye were closer to 3-0 than 'enga were to 1-1. Lyn are currently 13 points ahead of enga in the standings, with only 6 games to go. With this, there can be no doubt that Lyn is the best club in Oslo. You'd have to be illiterate (unable to read a table), ignorant (absent from both games) or psychotic (unable to grasp reality) to think otherwise. In addition to seeing Lyn demonstrating their superiority over 'enga, it was good to see Lyn play WELL again. Only two players performed consistently well during the previous two games against Moss and Start (Tolle and Mo). Now, the whole team was contributing. Psycho was back from his horsecrap red card suspension (the single most unjustified red card in human history - made the one that Turk got in the Rivaldo incident look obvious...), and Jonny Hanssen - who had been a shadow of himself for weeks - was dominant in midfield again. Only Lynplayer to struggle for a while was Aleksander Midtsian, who was subbed out for Yngvar. Young talent Espen Schjerven came on towards the end (only his second apeearance at the Elite level) and showed promise. Broke through but missed one on one with enga's goalie (shot high - goalie was helpless), but later sent a laser cracking off the crossbar from 25 yards out. It was Jason Kreisesque, if that helps any of you imagine. He has a bright future. Next up: road trip to Bodø.
Thanks for the report Norskie--way better than anything i can read on the net. I hope the team is adjusting to the new coach and can continue the early pace.
So far it seems the greater task is him adjusting to the team. He's had some trouble figuring out the prevailing "team spirit" it seems, and suffered a culture shock in terms of language and Norwegian media. Or so it seems.
Big Weekend in Norway A full slate for the weekend. RBK gets cellar dweller Start, should be a good chance for 3. Lyn has to beat a fading Glimt to keep within 3. Maybe success in champions league will cause a stumble in the series for RBK. Glimt - Lyn (16.00) Bryne - Brann (16.00) Moss - Molde (16.00) Sogndal - Odd (16.00) Stabæk - Viking (16.00) Start - RBK (16.00) VIF - LSK (19.00)
R Scores for Sept 1 this week is almost done, with most games today. RBK scores in stoppage to eke out a win a last place start. Lyn continues to stay 3 behind with a win over glimt. american robbie russel's squad continues its hot play in the second half and wins 1-0 over Odd. Søndag 1/9 Glimt - Lyn 0 - 2 Bryne - Brann 4 - 0 Moss - Molde 2 - 3 Sogndal - Odd 1 - 0 Stabæk - Viking 1 - 2 Start - RBK 1 - 2
Hopefully they can catch up! As long as they keep getting 3 from every match that's the best they can hope for.
Huge weekend in the Tippeligen. Lyn beats Stabæk and VIF ties RBK. The champs lead the upstarts by only 1 point. What a race to the finish. Yeah Todd I think that is exactly right. It is coming right down to the wire. It has been a wild season.
Søndag 29/9 Glimt - RBK 1 - 4 Bryne - Odd 0 - 0 Sogndal - Lyn 2 - 2 Stabæk - LSK 1 - 1 Start - Moss 1 - 6 VIF - Molde 0 - 3 The results from today. RBK gains two points on Lyn who is now tied with Molde. It is now RBK with 49 and Lyn and Molde with 46. Coming down to the wire.
I would have loved a win, but Sogndal has been tough at home in the second half. Plus Per Egil Swift was out, so they were missing a big piece of the puzzle. Sogndal has an American rob ie russel who starts. he did ok.
Its Down to the Wire The Tippeliga is down to the wire and tomorrow's game is huge. The leader, RBK plays a mid table team Stabæk and the pair three points behind, Lyn and Molde play two teams at the bottom. RBK has been in some tough Champions League matches, including a big battle at midweek. Lets hope they slip--not likely given their recent form. Søndag 6/10 LSK - Sogndal (15.00) Lyn - Brann (15.00) Molde - Glimt (15.00) Moss - VIF (15.00) RBK - Stabæk (20.00) Start - Bryne (15.00) Mandag 7/10 Viking - Odd (19
