Mancini !!! Called as a midfielder ... not as a full-back. OMG !!! Huge surprise. Does this mean Dunga is changing the way we play ? I really hope he knows how to use him. He can be effective as a winger.

Oh ... and NO RONALDINHO !!!. Woooohooo !!!

My lineup: JC; Daniel Alves, Lucio, Juan, Juan; Lucas, Anderson, Kaka; Robinho, Mancini, Luis Fabiano.

If only Dunga knew tactics and trained the damn team, maybe we could see positive results.

I like it. That's pretty much the same lineup I was thinking about. Except I don't mind having Maicon on the left instead.

But I have a feeling we will see G. Silva or Josue' in the midfield.

For once the striker list is decent still would like to see Adriano in there. Diego finally gets dropped. Mancini gets called up which means Dunga have been watching Inter Milan matches but Maxwell continues to get snub  I am not even going to bother comenting on the midfield. How is Hernanes and Denilson not called up is absurd.

We will see both with either Anderson or Elano next to them.

What about Marcelo from Real Madrid

The line-ups are hopefully getting better so I guess its only a matter of time before Dunga has one we all can agree with.

It's a better selection. And I can even understand why he wouldn't call in Adriano or Amauri right now. THough I certainly hope he does in the very next set of friendlies. Also a little surprised with Marcelo's omission. But then again... it's interesting that there are so fewer Brazilians in Madrid or Barcelona now.

Are there any news of friendlies?
I thought there might be a problem with Amauri - he is naturalizing as Italian or something like that?
Mancini will definitely add energy to the selecao, if he is a starter....
Kaka will give us a couple of victories!!!!!

I want to see Adriano back in the squad if he continues to do well at Inter.

The LB list is nothing short of terrible considering Marcelo, Maxwell and Adriano C. are all available for callup.

Denilson has had an excellent start to the season and gets snub.

I think Amauri is pledging his future to Italy. He's definitely miffed at being snubbed by the Selecao.

We dont need Amauri!! We can field a starting 11 with just the strikers we have!! I'm glad that Mancini got a call up after nearly 4yrs though I think he WONT start but will be used in the 2nd half(so I guess there's still hope for Renato of Sevilla) My biggest mystery is why Thiago Neves wasn't called up??

how about Simplicio of Palermo, he has been great for them and I honestly think he would fit Dunga's system pretty well.

He had a good game today. But lets not get ahead of ourselves. He just had a chance in the last WCQ 2 games and the Olympics. One good game doesn't justify a call up. Let's see how we do without him.

For Ronaldinho to play, we need a system set up just for him. I still don't see him being even close to his ideal form. He still can't pick up the ball and dribble like he used to. Honestly, right now he can't dribble anyone. That's a problem. If you take that out of his game, he is just a very good passer who doesn't move a lot ... at least not for a true play maker.

You bring up a great point. I did get a bit ahead of myself, but it was great seeing him score in such a big game.

I'm sure that once he gets back into the flow of things, gets to full fitness, sheds a few more pounds, we'll see the old Ronaldinho.

I think it will good for Ronaldinho to stay out of this one. Since his transfer to Milan, I don't think he has had a real chance to concentrate on getting back in shape. This should give him enough time to regain his physical form.
